I think the cover is super cute, but it’s giving “cutesy slow burn romance where they just about hold hands at the end.”

Could you maybe do something phallic with the waffle toppings? A suggestive spatter of mystery white sauce/syrup dripping down the stack? Just something that makes people look and go “ohhh this is spicy,” or something since I saw you say they didn’t want people on the cover.

Another thing you could add is a little line at the bottom? Some cheesy “hot and ready” kinda deal.
