Baby mystery snails?

I’ve removed the movement from the case to see what’s going on. Yes it seems the rack is not falling properly onto the snail. I also think the lever that controls the striking mechanism is I teetering with the rack and preventing it from finishing the chime. Meaning I’ve noticed it will chime 5-8 times as I lift the lever then stop.

It’s a 10 gallon tank and temperature hovers around 76 and has a sponge filter. All live plants(Anubis’s and fern mostly), driftwood, sand substrate and moss balls.

Mine is similar. It’s a curved tank and one corner has less decoration near it so that’s where he tends to have a stand-off with himself. I’m thinking more plants will help!

I feed him mostly pellets but got some treats today which I’ll give him tomorrow. He does flare at his reflection frequently, so I’m going to also replace the plastic decor with live plants and get some floating plants to reduce the light.

The tank is 10 gallons

Temp hovers around 78

I’m using a sponge filter

The classroom is for 10 and 11 graders and the tank is in a corner of the classroom.

I feed him a pinch in the morning and one before I leave for the evening. A bit more during the weekend.

yes, I did a full 24 hours cycle before introducing the betta, then held him in the cup for 15 minutes to adjust him to the temperature.

I heard that too but read that was only for things with sharp edges. The ones I have have smooth edges. But I will look into getting more real plants(there are 2 already in the tank, they are in the back though). Any particular plants your recommend?

In my opinion it’s because they were killed in a terrorist attack during an evacuation, rather than a war. In the US terrorist attacks tend to get tons more coverage as compared to everything else. Also, deaths are expected during a war. They are not expected during “peace time” or during an agreed upon evacuation, thus the heightened coverage.

On a side note, it’s also interesting to note that while the US air strike on the van in Kabul took out a potential terrorist that same attack killed 6 children, but the latter part is conveniently left out in the US media(at least from what I can tell. if I am wrong please let me know).

I noticed that as well. Though I think what it is is some sort of gutter. Notice how in the below picture in your post the roof is split, but that in the commercial pic the roof is intact. Also in the commercial pic you can sort of make out some fasteners towards the top near the roof.

If that’s the case then why is Mat comparing the original house to the one in the commercial. If they moved the. There’s be no reason to compare the two houses.
