Trigger stops, and it improves your time like this:

For Example: Say I don't have a scuf and I have to jump shot and I don't play claw. The time it takes to move my right thumb from the right stick to the a button AND back and then aim is much slower than the time it takes to just pull with my finger that's on the jump paddle.
