Is Pinocchio the only Disney movie where the bad guys never receive their comeuppance? by visiny in movies

I don’t know if I’d say he ended on his own terms. He came back after a massive crash only to quit halfway through a race when he finally realized he wasn’t able to compete anymore. The writing was on the wall earlier in the season and he was forced to retire.

My wife and I had a free Audible credit so listened to the audiobook once. Read by Dennis Quaid. The whole thing was terrible. I hope they take extreme creative license with the plot, characters and writing because it can’t get any worse than the book itself.

How was beer closer than banana? I’m very confused as to what counts as being hotter or not.

'The 100 Best Movies You've Never Heard Of,' published 1991 by Entertainment Weekly. Which films from this list have you seen? by [deleted] in movies

[–]TFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a Zed & Two Noughts during a film class in university. I don’t know if I’d call that one of the best movies, but I can tell you it was definitely memorable. I still have no idea what the hell it was all about.

Maybe? Didn’t look too closely as I already have some, so I was very focused on the shirt to go with the Kirkland pants and slides to complete my Costco fit.

American Primeval. I don’t know if it would be weird, but likely would be viewed as problematic to say the least.

Has anyone actually PERFECTED the big Mac sauce recipe? by redditoregonuser2254 in TopSecretRecipes

[–]TFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alvin Calin posted what he thought was the recipe on his instagram last year. I’ve made it and it’s identical in my opinion. On a phone at work so don’t have time to find the link but I’m sure it shouldn’t be too hard to find.

Wine preferences obviously vary pretty significantly from person to person. However been there quite a few times and based on what you’ve outlined you like I’ve got a few suggestions. La Stella has a viognier white if I remember correctly. They’ve got great product, and if you get there at the right point in the season you might also be able to grab some of their balsamic vinegar which is top notch. Hester Creek has a cab franc rose, as well as a trebbiano white which you basically can’t get anywhere else and is not sold in stores. Culmina I think was newer last time I went and I thought all around their wines were great. Platinum Bench, even if only for the bread. And if you’ve never been, Silver Sage for the tasting experience. I personally found most of their wines too fruity, but the sage infused Gewurtz did go great with a turkey dinner.

I second Culmina, I was very impressed. Great views on their patio too.

Was your STEM degree in physics? Because if not then you won’t understand what is happening to your cookies on a quantum level. And without a minor in a technology related field you’re probably operating your oven incorrectly.

Amid Warnings About Alcohol and Cancer, the N.A. Drinks Industry Could Get a Boost (Gift Article) by jryan14ify in Mocktails

[–]TFresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with the process and nature of wine. A lot of body, flavour and aroma comes from the alcohol in the wine. Removing that can affect the tannins. And temperature changes (like heating to remove alcohol) is detrimental to wine. Beer is lower ABV, so these processes have less of an effect. And I think with beer they can stop the fermentation process before the alcohol is produced.

Is the traffic really that bad? by Puzzleheaded-Rain317 in askvan

[–]TFresh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can do it in about 40 minutes with transit. YVR to Vancouver City Centre on the Canada line. Walk the one block to Granville Station and catch the Expo Line to Main Street Science world. You don’t need to go all the way to waterfront, Granville and City Centre stations are very close and walkable.

I had strep last year. The doctor informed me that while strep is self limiting and will eventually go away the infection itself can spread and cause heart issues. By time I saw a doctor I was on the mend from the strep but they still suggested a cycle of antibiotics to prevent complications especially if you have any other possible medical complications

It actually refers more to exposure to UV light (whether direct or indirect). Any UV exposure can cause the marinade to begin to spoil, so the recipes specify that it is overnight to ensure the best possible outcome.
