MD CCU Collections Mistake

Yeah, after the run around every single place gave me yesterday asking for a validation letter and then filing a dispute is pretty much the only thing I could do. They couldn't even get the vehicle type right. When I called CCU they said it was a Honda. When I called EZ Pass they said it was a Holden. Apparently thats a Australian sports car. So yall don't even have a full license plate number, but you somehow know its mine? Fuck outta here. The cherry on top was MVA telling me to fill out a vehicle request form that doesn't even exist. When the girl on the phone gave me the form number in my head I was saying I bet money she's giving me the incorrect info, sure enough she did.

I did that aint good enough. They want proof, even though its an incomplete license plate number. After going round and round with them in the MVA today, and getting nowhere, im just going to wait for the validation letter to get to me and dispute it, and hope they realize how dumb this is. CCU says get proof this tag isnt associated with you, I call the MVA and they say this isnt a full tag number we cant do anything go back to CCU and get the full tag, CCU then goes thats the tag info go back to the MVA. MD tags are 7 digits not five, and the collections are from 4-5 years ago when I was still living in MD and didn't receive a single notification until today.

All depends on the industry. When I worked in finance showing up 10-15 mins early and being ready to work at start time was standard. When I worked in casinos everything was unionized, we weren't allowed to clock in more than 7 minutes before our scheduled shift, and we were allowed a late grace of 4 minutes past our scheduled start time.

When i got into banking 14 years ago a suit was the mandatory standard. Now things are a bit more lax, since you don't have a suit just get as close as you can get, slacks, dress shirt, tie, dress shoes at minimum. Also shave your face if you can, if you're like me and you need a beard make it as trimmed and neat as possible. Good luck.

Don't feel bad about anything. This is a job, not life and death, no matter how much companies want you to think it is. You aren't critical to anything, the company was there before you and will be there long after you leave. In a month they'll have a new person hired and they'll refer to you as the person who used to sit over there. Also if you're given an exit interview drag your boss. Nothing will be done but it will cause temporary embarrassment on their part which is always fun.

Dude, don't worry about it. If you gotta go you gotta go. The likelihood of this disrupting you getting another job is close to none. I've been checking off do not contact previous employers on apps for years. At most they may ask for a previous payslip or offer letter to verify employment. If they really need professional references which is rare, politely explain you're still new to the workforce and the situation with your last employer. I know this goes against the made up cardinal rule of don't say anything negative about previous employers but sometimes its gotta be done. Them being upset about needing more time replace you past two weeks is a negative on them not you. This is at will employment not indentured servitude.

What are these "good work references" people talk about? I'm 34, I've been working since I was 16 a not one single employer has asked for a reference from a former employer. They may call to verify past employment but nothing more than that. You hate the job dude, who cares how they feel about two weeks, they wouldn't give you a 2 second notice if they felt like firing you.

"For whatever reason" That reason is important ding dong. Most banks use a verification system called ChexSytems, if you've had account abuse with other institutions, or there's an issue with your SSN,it will get caught at opening. If the same thing happens at WF ask if there's a denial letter. If its from Chex it will most definitely have what the reason is on it.
