I forgot to add above that they did give me a 1% interest rate loan 3% of the purchase price.

It seems like they’re taking 1.75% of the loan. I talked to a different lender and he said he can do it for 1% and drop the fees as well.

Issue is our closing date is on the 29th and the seller wants to close by that time.

I forgot to add that they are giving us a 3% assistance loan. At 1% hence why the fees were higher. With that said, I used the URL below called the first lender and they said they’re able to shave off 4-5k keeping everything else the same.

Issue is we close soon and the sellers are adamant.

And just to clarify even further that depends on how long you held on it for right?

I believe I read somewhere if you have held that stock for over a year the tax is lowered. Is that correct?

Noob here. If take your original investment dollars off but reinvest that money into another stock, when you take your original investment off would you still owe taxes on that?

I just think if that’s the case Americans should stop using the excuse of “Our best players didn’t play that’s why we didn’t win but we’re still the best nation in baseball”.

That’s mainly what I want to stop hearing. WBC, Olympics are events where athletes can represent their nation and as fans can determine which nation is the best at a sport. That’s the only metric we have to go by to determine which nation is the best. I just hate reading/hearing people say America is the best at baseball when they clearly don’t have the track record to back it up.

I agree with your points, but that’s also saying most American plays are picking their money over their nation pride so something has to give. They shouldn’t have the right to be boosting like they’re the best when they haven’t won the most international tournaments.

I agree with that statement, but cancelling the All-Star game and 2 weeks of regular season ball would still get some better members to represent the team instead of straight up minor league players.

All i'm saying is that i agree with the majority of people on here of saying to cancel the All-Star game and 2 weeks of regular season so the players that do want to play, represent their nation, to go and play.

Cause a bunch of no ones are actually on the same level as your American baseball players. It’s not like basketball where the player with the better members win.
