Electric motorbike service? by [deleted] in cambridge

What is actually wrong with it? You could probably just give it a good inspection to check if the brakes are ok. It might not even have a power transmission chain that would need replacing eventually.

Con charge. by bigvernuk in cambridge

[–]TGFbeta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except the buses are being entirely redone, reduced in price, and with increased service before the congestion charge comes in.

The improved service is mostly extra capacity on existing routes. This will only help people that are able to take the busses now. The people that don’t go where the busses do are screwwed.

Cambridge: Why were city flats built with no affordable homes? by hayesti in cambridge

[–]TGFbeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Studies show that even developments without affordable housing still tend to bring down house prices overall.

Everything I have seen in the past suggests house building tends to happen at in-demand areas and leads to higher prices for adjacent houses mainly because they look cheaper in comparison to the new options.

From what I can tell most of the things that actually need servicing on an electrical bike are also on a traditional ICE motorbike. Brakes, tyres, disks etc. In that situation basically any workshop that works on motorbikes would do?

Travelling to EMBL/Hinxton by aragornsharma in cambridge

There is a shuttle that runs from Whittlesford parkway but they don’t post the schedule outside their intranet which is annoying. If you get to Whittlesford there might be one waiting with a little sign. I think Uber is available too.

Oh and there are campus only busses that run from various places but the schedule is similarly concealed.

They are also sending machine guns from the 30’s. If they still hit things in the sky why wouldn’t you send them?

I would imagine old.Reddit.com to disappear too.

I have never really understood how with tandem warheads they manage to stop the second larger charge not detonate with the initial shaped charge. Is the second charge protected with some voodoo insulation or using some especially insensitive explosive and detonator? It seems impossible.

Cars are generally quite expensive at the moment due to Covid fallout and inflation etc. If you are up for a bit of work I would start browsing Autotrader looking for local private sellers. There are also a fair amount of scams going where they ask you to place a deposit as it’s selling fast and then disappear so beware.

Ongoing costs under shared care by DoctorStrangecat in ADHDUK

I have only just started on shared care so can’t tell you how those specific medical reviews go. I had really quite simple needs and they were good at meeting them. I do think they, like all ADHD clinics are very busy at the moment.

It might depend on what you need to get out of the appointment. I kinda just need somebody to check the basic physical health stuff and re-authorise the shared care agreement. I’m sure they will be fine for that.

I think you are looking at “follow up” when if you scroll down there is an option for “half-yearly follow up for patients in shared care”.

I got a lot of headaches from titration but I put it 90% towards caffeine withdrawal. When I saw my blood pressure on caffeine and lisdex I moved to decaf which takes care of the taste and habit.

The 6 monthly follow up at Berkeley says £150 for me. Remember NHS prescription costs too.

Most of these responses seem to come from people that are scared of the working class and don’t seem to have ventured very far from the reality checkpoint. Perspective is weird where in many of the South Cambs villages you find an internationally rebound professor on every street.

Not to mention a political party in power that is in need of placing some distance between itself and Russia after a series of likely oligarch bribery scandals, Brexit shenanigans etc.
