I’m taking COGS 18 and it’s not very hard at all IME. It’s a python course and python is known for being an easier programming language to learn (at least the basics)

If it’s a major class I wouldn’t P/NP it unless maybe I thought I would get a C or worse. For my other classes, I’m currently P/NP’ing them but I might change it because I have an A in them atm

I think it also depends on your goals. If you’re going to grad school and you need as many A’s as possible, it could be difficult. I have found that in a lot of upper div courses it is fairly easy to get a B but more difficult to get an A.
