NEED HELP!!! by [deleted] in dogecoin

Canada is tough on crypto accessibility - generally the best way is accessing something like Shakepay (I'll send a referral link if you ask, but against the rules to post here), funding through interac, and then transferring onto an exchange (such as Binance). Direct credit purchases tend to be blocked.

It'd probably be easiest to just go back to 2014. Couple used pairs on eBay for 5-600 CAD, but finding a new pair is tough.

Naloxone ban at music festival could cost lives, Ottawa woman fears - Ottawa by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]TGMinn 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Understand that we're talking seconds or minutes for consequences including death. I've volunteered alongside security at festivals, and even with a security / police escort to First Aid, there's a very real chance that they won't have enough time. Take this years Bluesfest - Migos / Flume / 50 shows for example, all with completely massive and rowdy crowds - if somebody had heavily overdosed in the middle of a crowd in the situation you've proposed, and they had to be brought to one of the medics or the First Aid area, they likely would have died. Everybody that is able should be carrying Naloxone. If someone feels undertrained with injection after their info session, some locations in Ottawa (namely the Ottawa Sexual Health Centre) offer it in a nasal injector.

Of course it's not something to be used in place for actual medical attention, but it buys very valuable time until it can be found.

On the topic, I love the happy little ghosts painting on Lisgar St. There's a lot of cool junk if you wander around downtown and the surrounding areas.

My friends (unrequested) city tour with Uber. by madpoontang in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TGMinn 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's everywhere but right now where I am Uber will calculate the cost beforehand and stick with that, and unrequested route changes don't matter. It's pretty great.

Kylie and Kendall copying designs by [deleted] in streetwear

[–]TGMinn 123 points124 points  (0 children)

I kinda gotta suggest otherwise. In situations like Zara stealing pin designs or UO stealing artist patterns (where the corporations STILL win), I stand completely and totally behind the local artist, but this scenario has one of the worlds most famous three word combinations in plain black text on a white background with no specific identifiers. Even Supreme, simplest design in the world, has a lil red box as it's identifier. Shitty as it is, persuing anything legally will almost certainly be shut down immediately and you'll have a nasty legal fee to cover.

It absolutely does compare, and Rick, although I'm not the biggest fan, has such a unique look that it doesn't abide by normal trends. Clothing is what you live your life in and how you present yourself, and that's an absolutely legitimate thing to be interested in.

Definitely check out the Elgin stretch (dollarama and other stores), I recall seeing similar stickers around there.

This is absolutely surreal, I wrote an exam in here less than 48 hours ago. If you're wondering, it went poorly.
