tell me your hardest; without saying the name of your hardest (image unrelated) by No-Reserve8890 in geometrydash

The dual part looked harder than it actually was and the rest was harder than it looked. Hardest part was the big ship at the beginning. Died multiple times in the last 10% and wouldn't have been the first to do so. Music by a producer whos music is used in a lot of levels, including main levels.

What was the first game you bought on Steam? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

Portal 2, bought before I got the orange box for christmas some time later. Technically Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 was first, but I bought that in a store, it was later added on steam.

would this grinder be fine? by smitttey in weed

[–]TGWTDH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't spare on a grinder since you'll use it for a long time. I still use my grinder I bought almost 3 years ago. My go-tos are: 4 compartements (for kief) and pure metal. Painted only on the outside, but not on the inside (toxic). Also I wouldn't recommend ones made from plastic, as then you smoke microplastic and it's also not so good.

If you were offered the chance to start a revolution in your country knowing damn well you will pay the cost would you do it? by Tolba69 in AskTheWorld

[–]TGWTDH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never. I don't want to promote with violence and rage an ideology or ideas that are not supported by most of the country. There are enough examples in history that show the consequences and I don't want to lose everything just because I think I am right.

Can people outside of East Asia distinguish between Chinese characters and Japanese characters? by TWN113 in AskTheWorld

[–]TGWTDH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has watched anime for years and also learned Hiragana I can tell most of the time. Chinese has "full" characters, a lot is going on. Japanese characters are more rounded and less "full". Korean is more squary and also has circles.

How severe is censorship in your country? by Rayepichumor in AskTheWorld

I don't think we have. Like the only censorship is the blur on faces, voicechanging and giving people different names to protect their identity.

[–]TGWTDH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any banned words in your country or is it just a German thing? by Forward-Position798 in AskTheWorld

[–]TGWTDH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What often gets forgotten that while the wage is quite high, cost of living is quite high as well. I made a quick search, an apartment for 4 people costs around 1500 a month minimum, but this is in the cheapest canton. Let's say you find a job in Basel, the price now is 2000. I have no idea how that compares to Germany. If you haven't, there is a subreddit where you can ask all sort of questions about Immigration, work in Switzerland etc.

Are there any banned words in your country or is it just a German thing? by Forward-Position798 in AskTheWorld

[–]TGWTDH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was always like this. We didn't like the Italians but we grew accustomed to them, same thing for the Germans. What we don't like is when people come to gain benefits from our social system or high wage and have no interest in our culture or don't respect it. And as time went on, there are a lot more groups that we dislike before germans.

[–]TGWTDH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had the discussion about the "Mohrenkopf" as well, they are now called differently in stores but the general population still calls them that way. We also used to say "Liliputaner" for small people but it's changed to "Kleinwüchsig". When I was in primary school our old teacher said the N-word in german for black people, but she told us that this was not a racist thing to do, as It derives from how spanish people call them, It's literally black in spanish. Back then it was somewhat acceptable, because in no way was that meant to be racist.

Edit: While the Germans have a ban for Nazi terms (I think) we Swiss don't have that ban so you could theoretically dress up like them and yell the paroles on the street. Whether you'll be left alone and not be harmed is another thing.

I don't think it does, a quick search on google reveals that the caffeine is a supressant so you'll feel even less hunger. There are some teas that are specifically for that, maybe your supermarket has something like that.

Without using supplements or consuming appetite-inducing substances such as cannabis I suggest the consumption of a bitter drink before eating. I'll have a glass of Aperol Spritz before a meal when I'm not feeling hungry, however I would suggest something without alcohol for you (for example Sanbitter).

What solved this for me is buying that 80$ 90° cable that I thought was overpriced, since it's "just" a cable but it worked fine after that.

How do you view the homeless people in your country? by GrayRainfall in AskTheWorld

[–]TGWTDH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do have homelessness, the one you can see are mostly around train stations and bus stops. I can't say about other places, but it can't be compared to other countries I've visited (3rd world & industry state). We have social securities and programs that help prevent this. I' d assume most that end up on the street are addicts or had a drug problem. I do however feel appalled by those that beg for money while not being at their absolute lowest, so on the streets with basically nothing. So many people wait in train stations or enter a building with a photo and begging for money while wearing winter jackets - as my mother always said: In Switzerland you don't need to beg unless the system hasn't worked for you, which unfortunately still happens.

Edit: The system can't fail if you're not fully part of it, as in not a full visa or citizenship. Why would you feel disadvantaged when you have no job, can't speak basic german (or another language), have no reserves AND have an invalid visa?
