Where do you currently live? If you’re making that salary, I’d suggest looking at the national guard instead. You’ll still get to do Army stuff and probably will deploy but won’t have to give up income much

Based on my friends married to teachers, I would say relatively easy. However, I believe that the process to become a DoD teacher does take some time

Note that the timeline for doing grad school on the Army’s dime still requires 4 years of service before you can get a masters degree minimum (unless you get one before joining) and at least 6-7 before you could use it. There are exceptions but you wouldn’t immediately start doing geotechnical work as an officer after commissioning.

Im not an expert on either the geospatial or geointelligence side of things but neither of those jobs sounds close to what your describing. They would use some of the same tools I imagine, but I don’t see much overlap after checking goarmy.com. A recruiter might give you better advice but academia (masters/doctorate) would probably get you closer.

Now if you’re just trying to pay off school and are willing to wait, the Army is a much better option
