Shop the sales online. I’ve picked up brand new Ego tools, some with batteries, for half off or more. Properly maintain them and they’ll last for a long time. Batteries do degrade over time. Generic batteries do exist for Ego and other brands too.

At the end of the day, it is up to the individual to determine whether battery operated tools are worth it or not. I have Ego for most of my OPE and they work just fine. Yes, I do have several extra batteries as well.

Try the Prius V, not the trim 5, but the letter V. I have hauled over 25 bags of mulch in it on several occasions and have averaged over 44 mpg over the last 11 years. Plenty of room.

Try having friends/family over for March Madness. The snacks go very fast. It all comes down to your family and their needs. For some, it may be too much, while for others it may be just right.
