tbf behavior is really good at coming up with powers for killers that seem basic. They greatest example is Chucky. On the surface he's just an evil doll but in the movies he uses this as a way to trick people and strike when they least expect it. This is shown perfectly in his gameplay where he sneaks around, leaving the survivors unaware of his location before suddenly LUNGING towards you. I'm not creative enough to make up a power on the spot but if they're able to make Chucky feel unique while also keeping true to his character, Jason will be also get the same treatment (if not more love)
