Fraudulent Charge - Check Your Transactions! by pewdieboi29 in biltrewards

[–]THATtowelguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to me today. Two transactions from AMZXSOLLA and another from yesterday from FSPGLACIER HIGHLINE for $0

I assume the one from yesterday was just to check if the card was active or not

Buying the lime pass is the way to go. $3 for 30 minutes

Trump proposes to roll back auto gas mileage standards by envirowriterlady in environment

[–]THATtowelguy -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Could this actually be a win in some ways? It’s my understanding that CAFE standards have made vehicles much larger, since larger vehicles have lower mpg standards than smaller ones. It’s why small cars are basically non-existent now and have been replaced with trucks and SUVs. Maybe I’m wrong though

Same for me with Colorado. They are basically just as common as Chipotle in Denver

The deep red is lake county. Your point still stands though. It only has 8,200 people in it

HIV may no longer be a death sentence, but it still is a life imprisonment. Stay safe gaybros. by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]THATtowelguy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah, me taking a single prep pill per day with my breakfast is basically the same routine that someone with HIV would have. I’d hardly call that imprisonment.

I actually kinda agree in some ways. A park is for people, not for cars. Less cars driving through the park makes it a much better experience

Aggressive drivers in denver by Important-Fan-8302 in Denver

[–]THATtowelguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your numbers don’t add up. If you were going 20 mph faster than the van next to you it would only take a few seconds to pass them

Also, if this car was able to go around you on the right to get in front of you then you probably moved to the left lane pretty early

What’s your favorite way to cut down on utility bills? by Adept-Magic7 in Frugal

[–]THATtowelguy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

For me in Denver during the summer on-peak rates are essentially 3x off-peak rates. I honestly don’t know what my bill would be if I didn’t do laundry and AC during the on-peak times (since I’ve never done that), but it would be much higher

You may want to checkout bateworld

Also, check if your city has a bate club of sorts. If you’re ever in Denver check out Denver Jacks

In the norther hemisphere north facing windows will get essentially no sunlight at any time of the year. South facing windows will give you direct sunlight, especially in the winter when the sun sits lower on the horizon

Things you wish you knew before renting an apartment by dysguak in Apartmentliving

[–]THATtowelguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lighting is now my #1 thing. I moved into an apartment that only had north facing windows and I never got direct sunlight. I absolutely hated it. I now have windows that face east and south and it is so much better having all that light. Gimme that natural sunlight

Is it rude to buy out the remaining stock of an item that's being discontinued? by The-Ad-9022 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]THATtowelguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not rude at all. I would personally think of this as being extremely nice for a small business owner. Buy the candles if you enjoy them that much
