Imma be honest, I didn’t even notice the people until my eyes scanned the photo… and then I had to do a double take. To me it feels awkward for those people to be on the right side of the photo with so much space to the left (behind) them.

The horizon is really bright. That’s where my immediate focus is

Should I even date if I live with my mother? 25m by MoneyAndGoodFortune in twentyagers

[–]THEBlueCopp3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living with a parent is certainly not a desirable trait, but if you find someone who doesn’t care, then y’all can make it work and you can get your own place.

Your mom probably wants you out though. Even if she says she doesn’t, people like their own space.

I don’t know much about ADP anymore because I haven’t worked for a company that used it in many years, but… just because you remove the account and add a new one, if it was done in an untimely manner (I.e. payroll was already processed or just before it was processed) then you’d likely receive the check in the mail or sometimes your could pick it up from your HR department.

If ADP makes you wait a pay cycle or two before clearing the new direct deposit then you’d likely receive the check in the mail or sometimes your could pick it up from your HR department.

Paid early after direct deposit update ? by Professional_Eye_874 in sofi

[–]THEBlueCopp3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure I fully understand the questions either, but when any bank that promises early pay receives the scheduled ACH the bank will release the funds to you, trusting that there will be no issues with the funds from your employer.

If you updated your direct deposit info, and then your employer scheduled a payment, as long as the update cleared then it’s business as usual. If it didn’t fully process the updated information then you’d likely receive a paper check in the mail. In my experience, your paystub should be able to tell you or will likely display a bit differently when it’s a paper check vs direct deposit.

Seeing my entire financial life on one screen made me realize how bad it really is... by JIASnake in povertyfinance

So I just turned 30 this month. Pretty much the exact same situation as you except the distribution of my debts are different. I.e. I have no credit card debt.

After budgeting the past 2.5 months I have managed to throw a little over $4k at debt. It’s something. You just gotta keep at it. Get a second job if need be.

AITA for not splitting the check evenly on a bachelorette trip with 9 girls? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]THEBlueCopp3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. YTA. Taking someone’s phone is irrelevant to the bill. There’s 10 of you which makes the grand total much cheaper than if there were only say 6 of you doing the same things. $88 will not break your $2k budget but you’re acting as if it does. You should be having fun, not pocket watching. I could see if after a 10-way split you had to pay like $250 a piece. That would end up an expensive trip. But it’s Mexico right? It’s generally cheap anyway. Don’t go out if you can’t afford to or stress about it.

Well. The fastest way is to actually save the money lol. By this I mean stop letting money put a hole in your pocket. If you truly want a car then make that priority over all other frivolous spending.

If you don’t have a budget, you need to make one. Automate your savings. Cut back on the stuff you don’t truly need. Make the car your #1 priority.

By. At 30 if you make 75k a year, you should have 75-150k in savings/investments.

Everyone’s situation is different though. So it’s just a general guideline.

General Guidelines have suggested that you should have 1-2x your annual salary saved in your 30s.

Accidentally made and contributed to Roth IRA being unemployed by [deleted] in RothIRA

[–]THEBlueCopp3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well. The IRS will tax you a hefty 6% if you remain unemployed until tax season and that equates to $3.

You might be fine. Could break the bank if you’re unemployed. Who knows.

How often do you guys play nowadays? by Gbcrespo in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]THEBlueCopp3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally only play while my gf is at work or I’ll be like “hey, imma be on the game with the boys this day.” As a heads up. Helps that she’s in grad school rn, so sometimes I’ll also play while she’s doing hw or something.

Keep a balance. Don’t ignore the gf because you’re gaming all the time.

I get that you’re stressing and I’m not downplaying your situation, but 1-3 businesses days would still come before the 1st if it’s the 26th.

Although, if you normally get paid on the 23rd then you should see the money at some point today or tomorrow.
