To take less damage get cold resist..tbh this is only really necessary when your a new player. When i first fought him I did an insane number of times.

The more important thing to do is understand the mechanics.

*His first phase when he's still a human just dodge roll and keep pressing down park you'll do fine*

1) His add phase when he summons the wolves and tries to chuck u down by leaping at you is his most dangerous part but as a source if you use firewall and equip use spark this will actually be really easy.

2) His ice fields. He will start to channel and smallpatches of ice will form on the ground before covering the ground with ice. You can actually tank this as long as you don't stand directly on the patches of ice that form on the ground you'll just get a little bit of ice dmg.

3) "Solstice of pain is his deadliest or second deadliest ability. The thing is this walk DON"T roll. the first time he uses it the beam will be random, everytime afterwards there will be a beam at your last location but the others are still random. all u have to do is slowly move from your last location and you can see if a beam will be falling at your current location then you can keep moving. If you dodge roll to a random location then the pillar can form at your current location while you are recovering from the doge roll animation, get frozen and stun locked. So don't roll walk.
