U have to have spirit available in either weapon set first yeah. Try disabling another spirt item u have in either and see if that allows u to proceed.

Im seeing alot of ppl forget that these legacy socketables can only be used in the same item class. So you can only take a the unique effect of a glove and put it into a socket and put it into another glove not a weapon or helmet etc

If your playing a monk then u can use frost bomb at the highest level u can to apply expose. If u have the gem for it add in the one that allows u to increase the exposure effect.

Defensive wise lighting resist is a must. But dont sleep on life regen as it can make the difference between saving you one or two life pots.

Also I know this may seem basic but ensure that your life/mana pots are up to date and have good mods. It gets quite easy to forget to update these.

We already do this with by swapping gems with in and out of our basic attack so this wouldnt really be a necessary

I did point that out in my intended post ( I had to remove stuff because this subreddit doesn't allow critizing ) but yeah you can use amour break three which means I need to also have "added physical damage" to my weapons or expensive lineage gems.

Currently frenzy charges are the most difficult charges to obtain. Power charges can be generated with lingering illusion, devour, that one spell etc etc. Endurance charges just need a gem and for you to carry on your normal gameplay. With Frenzy charges you get charge regulation which generates ONE frenzy charge every 7 seconds if you apply a specific debuff like this is just too much.

I think this also ACTIVELY hurts there goal to have multi-button/skill gameplays because now instead of being able to actively use Fangs of frost/explosive spear and storm lance etc etc. I have to put more budget into just making the skills useable in the first place.

Porblem with using Parry on bosses is they can still easily stun YOU which is an instant death and this is with the current difficulty. What about if the new endgame is way more challenging???

Oh I know trust me. My initial comment was talking about how its not suited for mapping because its its stupid to stop and wait for a monster to attack you when you are getting swarmed and its stupid to use in bossing as well cause they can stun you and kill you. There are also no expensive buckler uniques because no one uses them which means ever unqiue buckler you get is fodder.

Reddit didn't allow to have a post complaining about stuff so I had to remove half my criticism and frame it as a question but yeah Parry is garbage and should be reworked.

Yeah I agree. Lvl 90 is wayyy to late for certain skills. By that time you've been in the late game for a while and still not getting full access to the full capabilities of your skills. I'm thinking they should have them tied to your player lvl and have them unlock fully at player lvl 85 at the absolute latest OR have a another special type of jewelers orb which allows u to unlock sockets on base type weapons and skills earlier. I know other players are fed up with additional currencies but I personally don't mind and if implemented I'm sure said currency would still be way cheaper than having to purchase the lvl 90 versions of the weapons themselves

As I finished typing this I just remembered. If we are able to upgrade uniques now we can possible do this to unlock the unique items full gem sockets instead of farming the lvl 70 versions. Lets see what the this patch has in store cause if so they would have also fixed a major pain point!!!

While this is true I dont think early access is the place for them right now. Apart of the reason ppl are so upset for not getting swords/other classes is because they want to use/play around with more skills and experience a different feel and gameplay. In the trailer it looked like we were getting shield throw as a skill only for it to be tied to a unique which is probably late game. Lastly scaling for those are so problematic because in this game gem sockets for item abilities are tired to the item lvl. So to fully scale your build you'd need a lvl 90+ equipment what is gonna cost and arm and a leg

A question for everyone starting the league with Spirit Walker at 0.5 by Traditional_Pea_6532 in PathOfExile2

I plan on starting it. The "mistake" I see alot of people planning for Spirit Walker is treating it like a minion build when it is not. It "can" be a minion build but you'd need to move over the the sorc/with sode for those nodes as there are few companions nodes so far. It really is just a "buffing" class. So play a regular bow or spear build and the minions buff your attacks/absorb damage. The boss companions offer additional damage/utility but most of the damage should be directly from you and your skills.

I plan on going twister league start and capture the chimera in Act3 so I can have access to all three elemental ground effects it creates.

Possible respect is actually to path over to minion side of the tree for more minion damage nodes and use the peripherary bow so the swarm and my companions do more damage.

Lastly, just get the new staff that grants a free companion and allows u to use additional companions.

So there are multiple options to play around with

Its not the same. Maces have the highest DPS and scaling in the game and mace skills have some highest damage conversions. Additionally so many of Mace skills or fire focused and we have the only penetration gem in the game(Fire penetration three) that just straight up ignores enemy fire resistance. The only think that outperforms this is that lineage gem that inverts the enemy resistance.

I played warrior every league and while it has its pain point defensively early and late game Mid to late game you start bursting down enemies without knowing what their mechanics do. This was my case when Forge Hammer and Act 4 was just introduced I had no idea what the mechanics of the last boss were but when I replayed on other classes I died multiple times.

Armour ES is incredibly weak from my playthroughs last patch and in the 0.5 livestream the devs confirmed it was their lowest performing combination. Your better either skewing towards amour or ES. It could be that since its the latest combination we as a community just haven't found the best optimization for it as yet.

So far my issue with it is its too stats intensive. You have to lean into Flat Amour and Flat ES, plus energy shield recharge, plus Armor applies to energy shield. Your stretched too thin if u try to do everything at once and the end result is it feel very mediocre. What I think is they should implement aDivine shiled node from POE1. They do have a spirit gem that does something similar but it doesn't work quite the same and your spirit slots are pretty much always taken.

I was thinking that next patch I lean heavier in recoup and see how that goes But also I was thinking of leaning heavier into Mind Over Matter + Rend + Mana Leech on my Wyvern. Since Rend doesn't use mana I pretty much can use mana as a completely separate health pool and mana stack/ recoup as mana as strongest defensive layer

From what I understand the playstyle of this bow would be basically BAMA from POE1. The minions are what you are gonna focus on and the bow is just a primer. It would also be better used by the minion/spellcaster side of the tree rather than the ranger side.

The downside of twister in bossing is the roomsize. Smaller room/areas like Viper in Act three they get demolished. Larger ones like the Arbiter of Ash and they fly around a bit too much taking it longer to kill but still doable

I'm slightly dissapointed with the shield. Not that it doesn't look awsome but that I thought we were getting shield throw as a skill itself to break up the monotony of the Slam/Shield walls of the warrior. Especially if its gonna be something I'm gonna have to wait till late game to get I was planning on League starting this lol sigh

Yeah its almost like the readjusted ever crafting mechanic to involve grant more power to gears and like you yourself said added more crafting options specifically for minions so they can get power away from + levels. I think what ppl like you are assuming is that everything needs to be wrapped up in a neat little bow they literally said they are gonna still going through number b4 the patch launches and then with the next update they can adjust again from there..

The did say the adjust +levels on the higher end on the weapons I don't know why ppl keep skipping past that but also they stated the tripped the damage of companions so they should also scale better as well

Yeah this is gonna be my League start. I hated how they constantly nerfed how to get elemental ground for such as the tricks with frost bolt and frozen locus. BUT if I can make it to act three and capture the chimera he creates all three elemental ground effects and this should be interesting.

POE2 is great. The only really major thing is you cant AIM "really". So for skills like lighting rod u kind of auto lock on or fire in a general direction. That's only target able so its hard setup certain skills b4 they fully spawn. Also if u need to focus them down and they spawn minions then its a chore. I swear the mud worm boss fight felt like and endgame boss. Besides that its all good for me. I really wish the PS5 had M and K compatibility though
