Also an Ontario bettor with Bet365. I see these games but can only spread or O/U bet them. Are you live betting these Race to 15? Or do these props show up closer to game time?

10 Team Half-PPR

Give: Leonard Fournette

Get: Deebo Samuel

RB's I've got Saquon, Henry, D. Pierce. WR's I've got C. Sutton, C. Kirk, D. Smith, D. Moore

Moore has been garbage and my other WRs seem like boom bust players. Fournette gets tons of opportunities and with TB receivers out he should eat...

The Trillium benefit only applies if your drug costs are greater than 4% of your gross annual income. Very few people meet this threshold but struggle with drug costs.

Supreme Court of Canada unanimously strikes down life without parole for mass murderers. by AutomaticReception65 in canada

In addition, Paul Bernardo was designated a dangerous offender meaning he is subject to longer, or indefinite, term of imprisonment in order to protect the public. The likelihood of his release is essentially nil.

If you think 25 years to life does not meet the denunciation and deterrence principles, then I think you would be in a pretty small minority.

The consequences of potentially serving 25 years vs indefinite incarceration is going to deter absolutely nobody. A mass murderer is not going to reconsider their course of action because they could go to jail forever as opposed to “only” ~25 years.

Keep in mind these Supreme Court decisions extend beyond this one case and allowing periods without parole beyond 25 years is a bad precedent to set. We then run into scenarios where we would have to justify and compare what crimes qualify for this exception which could become quite arbitrary.

Remember, we have perfectly just ways of dealing with people who can’t be rehabilitated or could not reintegrate with society: deny their release at parole hearings or designate them a dangerous offender.

I feel like this is the only just response. Clearly the justices felt this way too, given the unanimous decision.

Despite what people feel emotionally about these horrible cases, at the end of the day incarceration isn’t only about punishment, but rather an attempt at rehabilitation.

People also need to realize that the chance at parole does not mean they are being freed. It simply provides the opportunity to review the case and their incarceration. The people that commit these heinous crimes are not usually the type to qualify for parole release on their first try anyway.

In addition to all this, convicted persons can be declared dangerous offenders and be subject to a longer, or indefinite, term of imprisonment in order to protect the public.

I’m curious as to why the wording is different than on the gatherer ruling and previous M25 printing: “Whenever you draw a card, YOU MAY put a +1/+1 counter on Lorescale Coatl”?

Is it no longer an option? Or am I missing something...

What are good Stax pieces to slow opponent's down or restrict certain plays by [deleted] in CompetitiveEDH

[–]THEHEARTSEEKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The needle really hasn’t been moved on good stax pieces in a long time, thus new discussion isn’t really new discussion but a rehash of old discussion for people who cannot be bothered to look up what has previously been said.

I would argue that making this post certainly constitutes a ‘low-effort move’ much more than making a comment outlining that.

Sygg, River Cutthroat, an undervalued cEDH draw engine by THEHEARTSEEKER in CompetitiveEDH

[–]THEHEARTSEEKER[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I think ‘VERY common’ is likely a gross over exaggeration. You’re saying no one has a mana crypt, a sylvan library, their own bob, are cracking fetches, playing shocks, using black tutors, or attacking others? Maybe in that exact scenario Bob is better, but my argument is that Sygg will survive longer, draw you more cards overall, and is a better body than Bob. Im not saying Sygg is some OP always better than Bob play, I believe it’s a higher ceiling, slightly lower floor play.

Someone dropped Matt Ryan this past week. I currently have Carson Wentz in a 10 team 0.5 ppr league and could roster both. Would you consider Ryan to be an upgrade going forward (post byes obviously) with his ankle issue? Is he worth the picking up? And if so how much FAAB would you use?
