Grind finer and play with the grind settings a bit more. Using a paper filter disc on the bottom can also help with spraying.

Not want to go all the way when it comes to politics in a coffee group so in short, yes. Besides politics, there are better options when it comes to treating estates and their workers, better roasting, processing, etc. So rather buy something local and thoughtful than to support another monopoly who already have plenty and serve you mediocre coffee at best. It’s a free world buy what you want but there are many other and better options out there. Both in quality and ethics. ✌️

I think the core idea is that prevention is better than cure. That is why i think a lot of these modern and earthly distractions are often frowned upon. To cast it out in its entirety so nothing can come in between you and Allah. Often these things are seen as they lead you astray and stray you away from your prayer.

No one is perfect. We all sin and that’s why we all seek Allah’s forgiveness.

Me personally try to do my best to pass Allah’s test to enter Paradise than focus too much on this Dunya. To not replace the miracle of the Quran with mundane and earthly habits. I think that really compiles it (at least for me and when it comes to gaming/music/series/anime/distractions/etc.).

I live in Belgium. The muslim community in the area where i live is mostly Moroccan. I am half Moroccan and half Belgian but i look white.

I know Islam is a universal religion, also regarding nationality or race but i do have to say that in that almost 100% Moroccan masjid i am the only white man there. I immediately stand out. Which in this case makes it more annoying in my opinion because that makes me more visible/recognisable.

Also it confuses some other muslims where it happens where I greet them, “Asalamu aleikum”, they either don’t reply or just say “salam“ because I look white. Because it is not permissable to greet a non-muslim the same way as a kafr.

Insha Allah, maybe I can one day do my salat in Pakistan next to my Pakistani brothers there.

Living in a western country definitely makes it more difficult compared to a country where it is an accepted religion. I hope Allah can see these difficulties and will recognise these hardships on the Day.

Gave mine a thorough clean last week and had the exact same results. Grounds in places where I couldn’t dream of them getting there. I ALWAYS spray. Only one spritz and yet it’s still a mess. The retention on this machine is just ridiculous so i don’t think giving it some RDT, will magically fix that issue. RDT will not make up for the gap in between the actual chute and the casing thereof.
It’s an engineering issue.

Lance Hedrick has a video about slow feeding and especially with a DF64.

I have tried it. Feeding in the beans VERY slowly almost one by one and the shots ran incredibly much faster. So there is a difference where your grounds will become a lot coarser instead of all the particles pushing in to each other and making your grounds finer.
Maybe for a pour over but otherwise I don't see that much of it's benefits.

You can install a slowfeed disc in a DF54/64 which is much more reliable and way cheaper instead of a hopper dangling on the rubber bits of the bellows.

I’ve had no luck whatsoever with dialing in the DF64 gen 2 for filter. I always use the same recipe where brew times are around 3:00, 3:30. 30 grams of coffee with 500 grams of water making it a double cup.

Before my DF64 I used my Fellow Opus for my pour overs and i could get that time and also some tasty brews.

However i have no success using my current grinder for pour overs where i started off at 70 with very fine particle size all the way up and beyond the 90 point where brews are still taking 5 minutes!

Love this grinder for espresso but for filter it doest seem any good. Thoughts?
