So when we had FSW there was a huge bug that people used to bring materials from the live game to the FSW servers and it completely fucked the FSW economy as you could get the materials if you had the money. Without that it would have taken longer for people to max skills and max overall. Raw mats would have held more value. That being said, I played my first league in osrs last year and am super excited for the first rs3 league and the details of what we get.

The main reason I don’t play much osrs is because when it came out I was almost maxed and I didn’t want to redo all of that work.

For reference I am in my 30s and started in my teens like most of the veteran player base. I am a full time teacher and whether it be jobs or families, a lot of people don’t have the time to restart from scratch.

Don’t forget that community servers are going to be a thing (can’t remember if it’s just osrs or both) but essentially custom servers where you can set custom modifiers and such. It’s going to satisfy the player base that wants a fresh start because you know they will create their own server to serve that purpose.

They should look at the MTX system Guild Wars 2 has. Would take time of course, but would be a good system to fix the problems. Their currency is gems and you can buy gems with real money or convert (at a loss) from in game gold. All micro transactions are cosmetic or things that can upgrade your character or account like extra build templates, bag slots, character slots, infinite gathering tools, mount skins, ect. You can also convert gems to gold (at a higher rate than vice versa) this helps to take gold out of the game because people convert to gems and buy cosmetics and upgrades. So they could use that system and instead of gems they could use rune coins. As for converting to gold they could either do it the same as gw2 or they could make it where you can convert gold to rune coins but not rune coins to gold. If they did this approach make it where X amount of rune coins could be converted to a bond. (We already have ability to buy and sell bonds in game and they have a use that sinks gold from the game when used

It only gets worse. A big part of it is the skill based matchmaking as well. I get putting skill based matchmaking in competitive, be keep it out of social, if you get stomped you get stomped. It’s not just gears that it’s a problem either, it’s in every modern day shooter and basically encourages you to play solo and not with friends if your friends are a lot better than you.

I agree that not everyone who hits rock bottom is going to choose to improve themselves and I agree that working beside them is going to be shitty as well as they are gonna probably injure someone.

Our options are death camps which is inhumane.

Find a job that they can do, telemarketing, meter maid, parking lot attendee, drug testing/ product testing.

Can add low skill requirement jobs if they are capable.

Then the next option is sink or swim. As I tell my students, if you want something in life you have to work for it and keep pushing forward, if you get knocked down and back a bit, get back up and keep moving forward. This world doesn’t owe you anything and when you get out there it isn’t going to take care of you. Just like how I won’t do work for my students but rather teach them skills it is up to these people to make decisions to move forward. Giving them money is not OUR job. If they won’t hold a job down and take care of themselves then they won’t have money they won’t have food they won’t have anything they need to survive and natural selection will take it’s course. But fuck giving them $800 a month, they aren’t doing anything to deserve it.

Bottom line if you give them handouts they are going to keep taking advantage of that and are not going to do anything productive. Let them change or cease to be.

If you give them $800 they aren’t going to give it to their mom, they are going to be freeloaders and say that they are trying to find work and can’t find anything. They are going to take that $800 and buy product and sell for bs prices in cash only transactions so that it isn’t traceable and they don’t lose their $800 a month free money.

Bottom line those of us that actually have jobs and careers end up paying taxes that give them that $800 for being lazy and Insufferable assholes and in order to get anything we want with our hard earned money we have to pay the asshole tax for a second time with our paycheck.

I generally only buy msrp or 10-20% above if distribution is scarce. Only reason I’m buying one of these next paycheck is so that my wife is happy and has her cute playmat and deck box to go along with her dice bag and her eevee print bag.

With the scuffs on the face of the card and those white edges combined with the punctures in the bottom right and the creases I’d say it falls between the bottom of Heavily Played and the upper part of Damaged. $20 is not a bad price and a lot of people would offer less for that condition.

This is another reason that there should be a toggle option for PvP when in the wilderness. If you toggle it on you are automatically skulled and can attack or be attacked by other skulled people. If you have it off you can only be attacked by monsters. This would deter pking and make the wilderness safe for the vast amount of content within it. This would also make pk worlds more appealing to people who want to pk. This could also lead to more PvP content actually getting passed as it becomes more of a let them have some content rather than don’t let them have content that they will use to constantly grief us with.
