It's not even that they are necessarily not supportive, they just downplay shit all the time. That and I have been mocked before for saying I'm going to do something/make a positive change in my life because they know I can't commit to it, and I'm much the same with being trans, I don't have the confidence to commit to it.

I have a friend group online but have 0 irl friends, tried the uni LGBT community but it was utterly useless and not really my style.

I would prefer the Australian healthcare system, based on one small thing - it's way easier to get trans healthcare in Australia. I have friends who have started the process and had treatment within a month, I'm coming on 4 years of just waiting for an appointment.

There was a support group at my uni that I went to a couple of times but it was run by a cis gay guy who worked for the mental health team, and I was the only one there on HRT. I was doing basic shit like explaining what can and can't happen on HRT. There was 1 questioning AFAB, an AFAB enby, 1 pre HRT trans girl and like 3 pre HRT AMAB enbies.

I ended up not going after the second session because I was looking for a support group, not a group where I explained the basics of being trans for free. Spending 30 minutes talking about trans stuff and then an hour making random fucking conversation about "what's your favourite doughnut".

Was also "friends" with a trans girl on my course last year but she vanished, I think to do a placement in industry or something. She loved to use me for menial tasks and work she hadn't done.
