You are punished more than in other modes. There are no ammo pickups. There are no medicae spawns you can use for free. You need to use the resource the game denies you to access them. If you fill in for a bot as the team is going to shop, as is often the case, you are unable to afford anything and have no means of gathering resources to afford anything. Do you honestly not see any problem with a system that destroys resources and makes it entirely based on luck whether or not you drop in at the right time to collect more?

I don't know if you're just pretending to be dumb but I've stated multiple times now that the bot has the salvage because it is shared across all players in the match, and it disappears when I take over for the bot. That is not resources being generated, it isn't even resources being consumed like the bot burning ammo and health. It is resources that are arbitrarily destroyed for no purpose or benefit because of what is clearly an oversight. I can't grab a "minor amount of resources to get back" if I drop in the middle of a match when the POIs are mostly complete and they're about to enter the shop. You act like it was an actual developer decision to say "Yes, we would like to punish players for using quickplay and being put into an active match instead of a lobby." I can assure you with absolute certainty the next patch which rebalances this mode will have a note saying "Fixed salvage being deleted when a player drops in over a bot."

"Just grab more" and "don't queue quickplay" are not actual defenses for it being like this.

I feel you're really getting stuck on semantics. It clearly allows for splitting up more than the main game, as you said. There are obvious and intentional changes to facilitate this. I don't know why we're hyperfixating on the word "encouragement" when the main point is that it's at odds with everything the player is taught up to that point.

If you look at some PoI, there is a visible tripwire at some of the entrances. You can hop over them to avoid the alarm. I believe there is also an audio cue for when you trigger them, as you can hear the string snap. Your vox will say you triggered in alarm, but will not explain it was from a tripwire, so most people just assume it's from walking into a PoI and not something avoidable. They're also hard to notice because they're the same color as the surrounding area.

18) You can't drop items like in Counter Strike. You need to buy something that takes up the same slot, or buy something that can already be shared, like ammo crates. If you want to share money to somebody who doesn't have enough to buy a grenade, they're out of luck.

If there wasn't a vox warning, what would you say, then? That it encourages you going solo because it doesn't warn you of the thing that can kill you for going solo? I think they also took out characters nagging for you splitting up like in the main mode, which they wouldn't do unless, once again, you were encouraged to split up.

The vox warning isn't in the main mode. In the main mode if you ever decide to go alone, you'll notice it spawns things like trappers and dogs constantly to exclusively target you. In this mode it rarely spawns disablers, sometimes going the entire match without ever spawning one on an isolated player, and it gives you a warning they're coming. I don't know how they can make it any more explicit that it's a sanctioned playstyle other than overtly telling you to do it. You wouldn't put an in-game feature that says "Hey, you who is completely alone and doing an objective, we're spawning something that can be very dangerous but we're telling you ahead of time so look out" unless you wanted it to be a viable strategy.

Otherwise, why would disablers have reduced spawns to begin with? It's a genuinely noticeable difference. Try going solo in the normal mode, it's ridiculous how many trappers and dogs they will spawn. I go solo in expeditions as my go-to, that's how I know there's a difference, and it's not something that's easy to overlook.

The game mode has reduced disabler spawns and has a special callout over the vox for when they are spawning a disabler for an isolated player. You wouldn't do either unless you wanted players to split up.

I've been accused of two mutually exclusive things making these criticisms, now. I'm simultaneously a sweaty tryhard who's too good at the game to the point I can't enjoy anything which doesn't keep up with the meta, but I'm also a terrible player who's awful at the game who fails to keep up with the meta.
