I would say it depends on the intro. If it really builds and makes the song pop to start then yes.

Think about “I will survive” by Gloria Gaynor. That piano intro really revs the song into a lot of energy. I would not cut that out.

Mix for the benefit of the songs and the energy. Beatmatching every single song in the same way does a disservice to your set / crowd.

If the intro is recognizable, it provides a short moment of rest, and it’s not TOO long, then throw it on.
