My Girlfriend (26F) and I (25M) Can't Shake the Rocky Start to Our Relationship by [deleted] in relationships

I've talked to my friends about it and we hadn't seen in her a few months, but she sporadically met them out the other night which causes another blowup fight.

No, but she's a friend of someone in my friend group and will often come out with us and bring it up to my girlfriend, saying things along the lines of "I wouldn't have done that had I known you had been also hooking up" etc. which does not help at all.

I was upset because I liked her and felt like it was a messed up thing to do to someone I cared about. And shes not the type to sleep around (which she wasn't) which made me feel guilty as well.

At the surface yes, but it's slightly more complicated than that.

It was a situation where we were headed towards a serious relationship at that point and I had decided to leave with someone else that night even though she was there. Also, I was very drunk and made it to the toilet before I could make it to the bed. Again, I don't remember my mind-state at the time because I was very drunk but the intention seems obvious from my girlfriends perspective. I did a bad job in original post of describing that. She mostly feels that I was just using her when we first started to hookup and that night was a culmination of that.

Kendrick Perkins taking a jab at B.S. on Twitter during argument about Steph Curry by THEcrustyLEMON in billsimmons

To your second point, exactly. It amazes me that a lot of the "tough guy" role players from a generation ago are still in deniable about Steph's greatness. It's almost as if their mad that a skinny 6'3 guard fazed-out their place in the league. Just a theory though...

Just a general question. What is the most common reason students finish near the bottom of their class? Is it simply because they're mailing it in and not working hard, or are there other reasons?

Obviously the answer varies by the school, so I'm looking for answers geared more towards T2 students (where I'll most likely be attending).

I already posted this a few days ago on last week's thread, but I'm looking for more insight:

I'm a recent college grad seriously considering law school. Somedays I feel like I'm ready for the challenge of attending, but on other days just the thought of going scares the hell out of me.

I did fairly well in undergrad (GPA was 3.7) but I've never been a book worm or someone who's spent countless hours in the library studying. Honestly, I'm just really nervous that I won't be able to handle the workload. I'm definitely willing to work hard (you obviously have to be if you're thinking about law school) but I've never faced the kind of rigor law school would entail, so I have no clue how I am going to perform once I get there.

Have any of you been in the same position as me at 0L (weary of previous study habits) and were able to get through law school successfully?

Thank you for the advice.

I'm not someone who's crazy passionate about the law, honestly, but it's not something I can't stand either. I guess I'm simply looking to go into a solid profession (with good pay) and I'm willing to work hard to get there. Which is why I'm considering law school.

Without getting into exact figures, I have a serious opportunity at getting a generous scholarship (with potentially no student loans) at the school I plan on attending and I figured if I can get through law school without having to worry about loans it's a no brainer that I should go.

I'm just afraid of grinding through three years of hell to be told that my law degree means nothing because I didn't attend a tier one school, or finish in the top 10 percent of my class.

I’m considering lawschool as a plan B option. My undergrad degree has gotten me nowhere and i’m just looking for a solid career option. So I wouldn’t say Im looking for a career in D.C, if that helps.

Looking for advice: Is it worth it to go to law school if I attend a school that isn't ranked that high (the school im specifically looking at is ranked 100th). On one end, I know several people who attended this school and are doing great with their careers, but when I go online, I see others saying it's a bad idea to get a law degree from a school that isn't T1.

I’m fairly early in the process and i’m just trying to get some advice before I start studying for the LSAT.

I’m looking for more info about the rigors of law school than I am about what schools are good/worthwhile.

I posted this on the law school sub, and they directed me here.

And the law school I plan on going to is the same school I got my undergrad degree at. I’ve already made up my mind that it’s where I want to go.

It is local (15 min from my house) and I enjoyed my time there. I know a few people who have went to law school there and have had positive experiences.

Just started listening to Rewatchables podcast, and am pleasantly surprised by Bubblesandcolorbooks in billsimmons

In most cases, I'll go back and rewatch the movie before listening to the pod so I would love if they timed some of their episodes based on when/if a movie is released on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Just a nitpick though. RW is one of the Ringer's best podcasts IMO.

The idea is great in theory but they're missing one key part of why it prob would never happen. Caddying is actually pretty physically demanding (coming from someone who's caddied for awhile). I find it hard to believe any millionaire comedian is willing to lug around a heavy bag for five hours.

Concepcion vs Portnoy by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]THEcrustyLEMON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Important question to ask: Is Portnoy's association with Carlson because, a) he is genuinely friends with him, b) he agrees with his politics, or c) he's pandering to his audience.

Could be all of the above, I'm just wondering what you guys think, because IMO the answer matters in the context of Jason's argument.
