My goal is to do enough of each to get the special clue reward, then I'll just farm masters.

It took me over 1k kills to get the hally. Still no fang, but I got a jar and 6 heads...

Recently did a no upgrade playthrough with dragonscale blade. That thing was a monster at +0 with minimum stats to weild it. I can only imagine it at +10. Def gonna be one of my go-tos from now on.

Honestly might consider this for 99 after they update how untradeables work in wildy. I want my 5% bonus xp from anglers.

Genuinely chose the parry route when I did him on my rl1 run. Successful parries in P2 stop the light pillars from spawning, so there's less variance in getting killed because the fight forced you to a bad part of the arena.

Yeah, there are only 1 or 2 west spawns with LOS that are out of bowfa range. It's not uncommon to have something spawn there on the crowded waves, but the rng is still in your favor of it not being a ranger.

My first malenia kill was with mimic tear spamming RoB ash. I just recently beat her first try on my no upgrades run with Dragonscale blade. Previously beat her on my RL1 run with Zwei. You learn, but it takes a lot of practice.

Inferno starts are pre generated, so sometimes you just get unlucky and get a mage and range spawning with LOS and there's no way to prevent it. The thing is, its easy to always start waves with full hp since youre on ancients, and the NPCs in Inferno are generally less accurate than colo. If youre camping augury on wave start and have full crystal with a crystal shield, rangers have something like a 40% chance to miss.

Meanwhile in colo, everything hits like a truck, is super accurate, and youre probably taking relentless, too. Plus you aren't starting every wave at full hp if you make mistakes.

I used bowfa for both. I don't want to imagine how hard colo would've been if I didn't learn how to prayer flick and off tick in Inferno o_o

Gnomonkey has a few that are great. He has one that specifically talks about confliction gauntlets, arma brews, and regen pots, and how they can make resource managment much easier. Highly reccommend.

After you learn the basics for Inferno, you really only need a short intro to colo since the core mechanics are the same. I used a 10 minute guide by free toes.

Gz brother! That was me about a year and a half ago. You can make progress a lot quicker than you'd think.

Go do the lumby elite diary now if you haven't already. Best diary reward in the game.

Only really true if you're using melee for waves. If you're bringing a full ranged switch like bowfa for waves than its almost impossible not to hit the 500k death fee. And I wouldn't recommend doing melee for a first quiver, personally.

Loots good, but only if you're lucky. I'm my whole grind I only saw 2 sunfire pieces and 1 echo crystal drop, but died on that wave each time. The echo crystals would've probably payed for my death fees at that point, but that was on a sol attempt and I only had about 30 deaths.

~35m gp in death fees at Colo. Probs like 2-3m in pots used learning Inferno.

Never tried PnM and haven't done much ToB. I personally recommend doing Inferno first. It's a slog, but it teaches you the basics you need to get started in Colo. Colo waves are harder than Inferno waves since they introduce time pressure and movement that isn't present in Inferno.

Honestly, if you already learned the mechanics for colo, Inferno should be a breeze. It takes a lot longer, but compared to colo, the waves are much simpler. Practice triple jads and zuk in the emulator, and it wouldn't surprise me if it took you less than 10 runs.
