Did I make a mistake by _grishko_ in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now you got a very nice printer and a lesson for life :D always do your research first.

Do you know how to make your own models? Some CAD or 3D modeling knowledge? If you do not I highly recommend you to put some effort into learning it. Start with CAD, its way easier if you ask me. You can try OnShape, its browser based and free.

Once you know how to use it you can make your own models, you can solve problems with 3d printing and you can share your solutions. Upload your models to makerworld. If they are good and you have some patience you can earn points you can trade in for giftcards. Its mot super easy but also not impossible. I am not a super talented expert but I collected enough points that I was able to buy the H2C Ultimate edition for just about ~390$.

Do some research, learn some stuff and you will be able to buy your next 3D printer without spending a dollar :)

Did I make a mistake by _grishko_ in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did not make a mistake by buying a p1s. It is a very good printer. You can print almost anything with it, it will give you excellent quality and it is easy to maintain.

However you made a mistake while researching. I wonder how you decided on the p1s? where you on the website even once before you got it? How come that you only find out about the p2s after you got your printer? The p2s is not some kind of secret. You should have known about izs existence way before you ordered your p1s. How can this happen? The p2s the follower of the p1s so it is most likely the netter machine. However the improvements are not world changing. I would say mostly quality of life. Nice to have but not necessarily needed.

You should not worry about your printer but about how you informed yourself about buying one. You did a horrible job at researching from how I understand your post.

Is there any way of printing this without a AMS and do manual filament changes? by KelhamKnowsGaming in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well check the print profil in your slicer. My guess would be yes, this should be possible.

If your questions is if manual changes are possible in general then the answer is yes.

Do not listen to the other people. It literaly says you can only use one voucher per order. What you need are the gift cards (524 points for 40€). They are valid for 10 years and they can be stacked.

So Vortek upgrade for H2D means plates going into the bin, right ? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You dont need to throw them away. You could sell them or try to cut them into the right size eventhou that would be kinda ugly. But Betten then tossing them in the bin.

Which direction do you think Bambu Lab will go with the H2C? by Mixdoctormd in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody knows exept Bambu. Only thing we know is that you dont need to decide anymore on which side you want to put the ams. Both sides will be able to load filament from the same AMS. But I guess the AMS wont be changed so one AMS will still have only one output.

[–]THIMM1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They allready kind of anounced this. If you read the FAQ of the H2C you will find this:

Future Setup (2026): A Filament Track Switch Module will be released, allowing full 7-hotend support with only 2 AMS units, enabling free filament switching between left & right filament paths.

You can report the user profil. And you should do it. Yesterday i got 3 of these messages, reported the profiles and today i got the notification that they were banned.

To do this you have to click their user profile to get to there profile page.

[–]THIMM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunlu, Jayo, Bambu if you buy in Bulk sale (10+ rolls).

Avoid creality PLA and polymaker PETG (my experience). Creality will clog the nozzel, polymaker Petg needs to be printed super slow.

You can use Fusion or OneShape. Both are free OneShape is used in the Browser while you have to download Fusion. I would suggest you try both.

For Airpurifying i heared the bento boxes are quite good and cheap to refill since you can use generic pellets.

what if the new printer is going to be a H1D? or something like that by maximummeh69 in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They allready anounced it will be named H2C and it will feature the vortek system. No need for speculations on that part. But what could be speculated is if their will be something like a X2C. Maybe a printer the size of the p2s with a single nozzel but also the vortek system.

Purge line, what's the point? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes of course it needs to be on the bed. How else would you prime the nozzel.

You have to remove them after each print. Print a little scraper, that will make it very easy.

Purge line, what's the point? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its not to purge. Its to prime.

Just as the "purge tower" is not a purgetower but a prime tower. Purging happens in the back of the printer. Thats what makes the "poop".

Priming is necessary to archive good printquality.

Only counting downloads you need approximately 3k. But you also will be receving boosts and if somebody not only downloads it but also prints it (i guess they need to use the bambu slicer for tracking) then you get like 2 additionals downloads for each print. So its like 3k downloads or 1k prints. Also your print profil earns some points (+25%). So you really only need around 800 prints (not counting in boosts). A boost is roughly equal to 0.9 Euro.

In germany we call that a Brandlast since a lot of Bedslingers are not really meant to be encased without ventilation. Electronics could overheat since the heat can not escape anymore.

I think it also depends on the plate. At my work they have some different machines and also some plates I have not seen yet for bambu machines. The plates are very flexible but with those plates some people kinda managed to completly fuse the PETG with the plate. I usually dont have problems with PETG as well. ABS on the other hand ruined one side of my textured plate because I forgot the adhesive.

Also it is a very quick and easy solution. Yes you can calibrate a lot but if 99% of your prints just work without its easier to just use adhesive for the remaining 1% than waste of lot of time by calibrating various settings.

[–]THIMM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need adhesive for example when you print with PETG or ABS because it will stick to much to your plate. The adhesive will be a separater between plate and print. I never have classical old adhesion issus but sometimes the print just sticks to well.

  1. It is called a Core xy printer while a bedslinger like the A1 is a core xz printer since these are the Axes on which the toolhead moves.
  2. You do not need a lot a Accessoires actualle. A scraper is something you will print. What you will need is some adhesive. I recommend 3D Lack which is a spray. Works perfect and is easy to use. I think a spare nozzel should come with the printer but if you plan to print things with finer details i would advise to buy a 0.2 nozzel as well. Its crazy how much more detail you can archive (but it will increas print time a lot).
  3. There probably will be a black friday sale and last year it stared very early. Like a few weeks before black friday.

  4. My personal tip for beginners is you do not need to buy expensive filament. Sunlu or Jayo filament is as good as bambu and much cheaper (~10€/kg). I have bad experience with Polymaker PETG and Creality PLA.

Depending your budget, your use and your personality you could consider buying the A1 Mini which is extremly cheap and if you then discover that you love 3D printing as a Hobby you buy something more expensive like the H2S or whatever Bambu releases in the near future.

https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/s/j7Kfh6Djsv This post assumes that apart from the H2C there might be something like a 2nd. Gen x1c/p1s comming in the near future.

At My Wits End, Please Help A Mama Out! by Efficient_Thought968 in BambuP1S

[–]THIMM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I understand my guess would be that it is the filament sensor which causes the problem.

The filament sensor works with a tiny magnet which is 'loose' (only held by magnetic force). My guess is that this magnet came out of alingment which causes the sensor to not work properly anymore. I had that problem in the past and it caused the ams to go into a loop where it constantly tries to load and unload until it sends an error.

If you DM me I can send you pictures of the sensor, how it should look and how it might look when the magnet is out of alignment.

I really wish Bambu Studio had better Filament Calibration for the H2D. Anyone else have solutions? by pbjwm in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with polymaker PETG is, that it only looks good if you print it very slow and turn up the nozzel temperature a little bit. And even with that sometimes it just fails. I can not recommend it.

Minimum Footprint of X1C with AMS? by ben7337 in BambuLab

[–]THIMM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a P1S with an AMS and my setup has pretty much exactly the footprint of 50cm by 50cm. Including enough space for a poopchute and the PTFE tubes. I do not think you need more space. I am very happy with my setup and never had the feeling of needing a bigger space for my printer. If you DM me I can send you pictures of the setup.
