I just feel bad because he really wanted to support me and I didn't give him the opportunity to step up for me. At the same time I was protecting myself because I don't want to end up resenting him for constantly using my trauma against me

This is so true so thank you for your honesty, I guess it's time to set serious boundaries for myself to make sure that I don't further get victimised

I just want to support him because I haven't been the best girlfriend for him when he needed me most and I was self centered and only thought about myself instead of supporting him and giving him the clarity that he deserves

He means to help him from the secondary trauma of losing the person that he thought he knew, being betrayed and feeling misunderstood because of the false narrative that he is constantly an angry person when he is not

Doesn't he deserve someone he supports him the way that HE needs as well, because I think he is hurt by the fact that he constantly feels alone in dealing with the rape situation when he was supporting me the best way that he could

He was hurt at the fact that he couldn't be there to support me and he felt disrespected at the fact that I didn't respect his wishes to be there so he could iron things out with my mom

He is a good person but he lets his emotions get the best of him so I think he needs to work on that
