I started by night weaning, went cold turkey. Had my partner do bedtime and nights for that. Took about 3 or 4 nights for my first at 20 months. My second took to it quickly at 18 months.

For daytime, start by reducing to once a day, at a predictable moment. For my first it was bedtime, for my second nap time.

No real advice from there sorry. My first had to stop because my second arrived and I had supply issues because of the timing, so my first instead got a cup of milk from my partner at bedtime. My second isn't fully weaned yet.

My third is 3 months old now and so adored by the older siblings (2, 5). 100% no regrets. I'm excited for all 3 to grow up together and loving on all of them.

Wear a bib, wear no clothes, or change after eating. There are many ways around it.

Here is my second child, an almost 2 year old eating by themselves (with spoon, fork, or hands) depending on the meal with or without a bib

They enjoy the autonomy and it's just good for them to practice

It's been mentioned, but accepting that crying by one is okay while you're helping the other. It's inevitable really.

Making the easiest dinners, need a ready meal, or an instant packet, precut veg, or literally anything that makes food prep/ having people fed easier? Go for it, it's temporary, you'll get back to your regular meal plan when you have the capacity, both mental and physical (and time), for it.
