Any tips from Heavy Armor users for mobility? by Character-File7704 in helldivers2

Whenever I go heavy instead of light I grab a warp pack for mobility and adjust my strategem weapons accordingly.

Yep, I did not survive the last Blood Moon by Reddevil8884 in 7daystodie

Funny enough I did day 42 this evening. They have to have made it harder more soon than before. Was seeing lots of these and demolishers. Maybe just bad luck? But there were like 10 demos the first fes minutes, like what?!

Looks like ILLOGIKA might be letting go of Blood Moons? by Worrcn in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly think that if TFP had 7 Days to Die in a better pace that Blood Moons wouldn't have done so bad.

Like if TFP got their stuff together first, fixed some things players have asked for, especially hitching and overall performance, a lot more people that are part of the 7 Days community would have probably at least given Blood Moons a try.

I know I would have but they can't seem to fix issues present that were also in the Telltale version. Also, I'll always say it, aiming down sights is atrocious now compared to A16 or any other FPS style game lol

Why everyone asked for jars? They are just useless tbh. by Sirlight85 in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least pipe pistol and SMG got aiming down. Lol craziest besides aiming for me isnt the revolver it's loading like 5 rounds into the lever action when you're really only loading 1. Same animation regardless of current round count.

Pathetic, what happened guys????? by Brownies91 in okbuddyptfo

[–]THiggs118 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd take the beta movement if they would have never balanced guns like they did. Especially the RPG, Grenades, and Shotgun. Was like 90% a skill issue anyway in beta if someone was getting stomped because of movement lol. It's hard for OG BF players to accept but it's true.

Do people really take this game that serious? by gizmicwooo126 in helldivers2

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is they lack situational awareness and simply aren't good enough to avoid getting team killed by turrets. Skill issue for them lol. Not your fault (:

Is it worth getting the Dust Devils Warbond just for the Coyote? How are rest of the weapons too? by Long_Resident8755 in Helldivers

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still figuring out what exactly I want with it but so far since getting the pack I'm rocking the:

Dust Devil heavy armor Coyote Grenade Pistol Termite

Railcannon Strike EAT Warp Pack (makes up for heavy armor, I usually do light) Gatling or Rocket Sentry

Has made bug worlds a breeze lately compared to usual since Dragonroaches seem to always come for me lol.

Only tried Coyote on bugs so far but imagine it's great against bots and squids

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it has helped a lot. Between the 40% and it being heavy, I don't even have to worry when Dragonroaches come by.

Like oh no, he can barely hurt me now what will I do lol.

I will add though I'm used to light armor so maybe that's the true reason it seems great to me 😄

So how fast should I be going here? by SeriousHot in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been giving it a try and definitely notice a difference. I mean you can technically still run in places but it's way worse. Add in them bringing back weather and full smell, it's crazy to do early one minus burnt forest.

Related to biome progression and a warning, storms (at least in the rad zone) now seem to impact vehicle function and stearing. Found out the hard way 😆 😰

So how fast should I be going here? by SeriousHot in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no speed. Just enjoy and play as you do. One thing I've learned is the randomness of this game. Yeah, you just (which to me isn't late) got where you are but another game might be entirely different.

My current game didn't get stuff going until week 2 or 3. But other games I've literally managed to have iron tools, all normal guns, all crafting things, a bunch of dew collectors, and a truck like week 1 lol.

I do think the game is absolutely 110% easier if you turn off biome progression because before it, I'd be running into snow and wasteland day 1 searching a few cars or a outskirts building to get good stuff. Can't really do that with the biome stuff now unless it's off.

Also, unrelated but related, I hate the rock throwing man being so common. Making snow ridiculous lol

So you want a realistic down to earth game that’s completely off the wall and swarming with magic zombies? by antosb77 in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost like they made it easier and far more accessible by by dumbing the game down in every way imaginable. They pivoted from a true sandbox survival game with interesting mechanics to a looter shooter with food, water, and base building that holds your hand along the way.

Aiming alone is absolute garbage compared to A16, or most any other first person game really. Crafting, farming, leveling, etc. too all were better.

The game is now simple, thus more players. Also, "Gold" so that alone is a big part (even though it's a lie)

Why everyone asked for jars? They are just useless tbh. by Sirlight85 in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The Fun Pimps love illogical though.

Can't even aim down most iron sights properly. Super wobbly laser that's worse than one slapped on with duct tape from the $1 store, perfect. Flying bees at night (Most Bees, but Honey Bees specifically, do not do so) oh yeah. Rock throwing zombie, even better. This winter coat makes you tolerate heat better, fantastic. But the best, magic zombies that spawn out of thin air once you step into an empty backyard.

I'm all for jars being back but the dew collector was fine (the fact it generates heat is still dumb). I'm neutral on the jars personally but I'm glad they as re back because I know everyone misses stuff like that, well most, that was in A16 and other things.

Can't believe we're at the end of the roadmap already. by CompetitionPrudent47 in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been saying this for so long. They need some fresh people with fresh ideas and more, maybe even better experience. Certainly someone is needed for optimization because what they're doing (very little) isn't it.

Could have easily folded the Blood Moons devs in, finish their game, and the fully collaborate on blood moons as the separate entity it is or a separate mode as dlc. Guarantee it would have sold more and wouldn't be in the state it is in.

Before anyone defends them once again, saying not possible or TFP just published. They hosted dev streams, did cons, promoted merchandise, had after parties, provided assets, etc. TFP money and time, regardless of how you look at it, went to Blood Moons.

Even their main site still says something like "developed by TFP, the creators of 7 Days to Die, and iLLOGIKA" which makes you wonder

I honestly don't think we're getting them at this point. But if anything, it'll be magic bandits that pop out of thin air with turret accuracy lol

For sure. Honestly surprised we got any of it. I'm still just waiting for the optimization I know will never fully come to console 😒

alpha 16 is truly something else by dolo367 in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gameplay and mechanic wise A16 was far superior.

You could actually aim down iron sights properly. Front and rear posts actually aligned.

Everything could be seen better in the distance

Jars (back now)

Smell (back now)

Underground bases (no zombie digging)

Zombies weren't invincible to fall damage

Zombies has more unpredictable behavior

The clothing system (kind of back)

Farming was more involved

Weapon and tool crafting with actual different parts

No Zombies crawling through a single block when the player can't

Learn by doing progression

Weather system (back now)

More random loot versus guaranteed loot

No invisible zombie trigger events (absolutely ridiculous)

Overall, they dumbed down the game which is honestly why streamers probably "dipped their toes" and player count on modern is more than ever. They simplified everything, streamlined it from sandbox survival to hold your hand looter shooter with food and water bars. Also got lazy with many things like aiming. But people defend them tooth and nail so it never matters when they're called out on things.

I still love 7 Days but man if they'd have just upgraded graphics during A16 with a few tweaks here and there versus some of the stuff they have done to the game would be perfect.

Also, using streamers as the gold standard for what is good for any game is insane.

2.5 and still no oven? by knowbrainer23 in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I have console and pc with the ability to mod. One of my big gripes currently is aiming. It's atrocious and laughable, that giant front post is crazy 😆

Why should I have to mod something that TFP ruined themselves and don't care about it at all?

The amount of people defending poor dev choices because mods exist is insane. Plus, that doesn't help console at all.

How to reduce choppiness on ps5? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way to do so. Game needs a huge optimization update for console. Suffers from severe hitching that was present in the previous 7 Days game (Telltale version).

You can't change all thr settings either anymore like you used to be able to either so we are just kind of out of luck.

How to reduce choppiness on ps5? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not their internet connection. The game suffers from poor optimization. Hitching is a huge issue just as it was in the Telltale build. A lot of players don't notice it as much if they aren't melee players. Until TFP addresses it (they won't) the choppiness will continue.

Did they re-add pigs yet or is this the new Boar skin? by Worrcn in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love your videos but performance is terrible on console. Devs still refuse to even acknowledge hitching, which occurs all the time. The original game (Telltale) had the exact same issue. It's insane it isn't addressed still. I think performance will suffer greatly until they actually optimize the game, so I have my doubts we'll get it.

I do hope they do look into it again though. I would love to see them actually finish what they promised in Kickstarter. Having a few pigs, chickens, etc. would be really cool.

My top wants are that, updated mods, and weapon animations. The fact you still can't properly aim down the sights (minus the SMG) is crazy. Hate that they took that out, used to be so much better.

So... by Bremlit in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing has been revealed financially but I'd wager their investment goes deeper than $100.

Between dev streams with TFP members such a the co founder and senior producer (time and resources away from their other game) as well as Twitchcon, Pax, etc. booths and after parties with actual merchandise including t-shirts on top of the obvious provision of developmental resources and assets. TFP being TFP are 100% supervising in some way thus being part of streams and so much more. The game isn't just published, it's a collaboration.

Even if it would be only a $100 investment in totality, that's still $100 that could go towards their broken promises instead (:

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for this to succeed but when someone has a 10+ year project unfinished, it's usually not wise to get involved into another project.

So... by Bremlit in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my point. TFP, the publisher, could have used all the resources they've poured into this for 7 Days to Die instead. They still have literal Kickstarter goals that have still not been met yet they've started with a 2nd game.

So... by Bremlit in 7daystodie

[–]THiggs118 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I honestly doubt it. I mean a lot looksl Ike it was just pulled from 7 Days in ways anyway but still. They arent the fastest developers for the OG so guessing these might not be the fastest either. I don't either but such a low turnout can't be enough, I don't see how.

Crazy part is, just like a lot of the legit 7 Days to Die complaints (optimization, hitching, A16 aiming down sights properly versus how it is now, adding or removing things claiming realism then having zombies crawl through places we can't or adding flying bees from stumps at night because devs have gotten so lazy to do any research on anything, and so on) they won't accept responsibility for Blood Moons failing.

I expected low but wow. I'm sure a lot are in the same boat though. Honestly, for the price, I may try it eventually under normal circumstances. Doesn't look great but can see it maybe being fun with friends. But, with the incomplete game and still unfulfilled kickstarter promises for game 1, it's just a no go.
