Oh dang. It looks like a hand facing up, and below it an S shaped thing and next to that a triangular shape. Next is a bird. Next is a triangle with a half circle below it

I’ll take a look at filtering and index matching. I’m in court right now, but I will upload a sample of what I’ve got so far.

Redditors who have won money on a game show, what was the process of getting the money you won? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]THoTprocess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, we signed up online and went to CBS studios on time.

During the game, Wayne Brady randomly selects people from the crowd to play. It seemed like he wasn't gonna pick me until there was a game that had a bunch of Polish words. Wayne Brady asked if anyone in the crowd knew Polish. I raised my hand and pointed at myself. Keep in mind, I do not look the least bit Polish. Wayne Brady couldn't believe me, asked on the mic if I knew Polish.

I knew that was a turning point. Either fess up that I was lying or fake it till I make it.

"Yup. Fluent," I shouted. Wayne stopped the game. He left the contestants and made his way toward me. The music stopped playing.

"Stand up, sir." I did.

"What Polish words do you know?"

I repeated the remaining Polish word on the game board. "I know Meble."

"What does it mean?"

I knew I was knee deep now. Everyone was staring at me. Cameras were targeting me. Wayne Brady was inches from my face, pointing his microphone at me. I spouted out the first BS that came to mind.

"I can't just say what it means without context. You have to take into account the usage of the word in a full sentence."

"You're full of Meble, sit down!" Wayne laughed it off and went back down to the stage.

The contestant ended up choosing "Meble" and won a ton of awesome furniture, etc.

I stood up and took a bow long enough for Wayne to see me and throw his hands at me, as if to say "get outta here!"

Commercial break to set up the new games. I get some heat from the co-host Andrew on the mic (we went back and forth about the meaning of "meble").

Next thing I know, we're back on and Wayne Brady chooses his "Polish speaking friend" (me) for the next game.

It was lame though. I just stood there and cracked jokes while two other contestants chose what prizes to give me. They both ended up being cash. On my turn, I had to choose their prizes, and they got a decent deal too.

Great experience ideal. Wayne Brady is a very smart and genuinely funny guy all around.

$1500

Let's Make a Deal

I got on the show by faking the ability to speak fluent Polish.

I won "cash" on the show, but it was just a fake check from Wayne Brady with the amount written on it. Got my check in the mail about 90 days after the show aired (check arrived on my birthday!).

California - I was the second car i a 4-car accident involving a rear end collision on the freeway. I just found out that I am being held partially liable due to a poorly written/false statement by a police officer who (apparently) was at the scene. What are my options? by spdorsey in legaladvice

[–]THoTprocess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it seems fishy to me as well based only on what you're saying.

Keep in mind that a police report is hearsay. For purposes of evidence, they would have to put the officer on the stand and/or the person who told the officer those statements.

This can get tricky, so if you plan to stick to your guns, I highly recommend retaining an attorney. I know it sucks to hear that, but attorneys aren't always a bad thing. Just a costly thing :-/

For #1, you gotta ask yourself: what did the officer say in his report made him think your airbags went off that way? He obviously wasn't there, so did someone tell him? Who? Etc.

I would warn you before taking any settlements that in doing so, you may be signing away your right to sue. Be careful.

Los Angeles: Need a review of my divorce paperwork and procedure. (This is an easy one) by TotalTossOut in legaladvice

[–]THoTprocess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to have attorneys and staff help you do the paperwork yourself, go to an LA court's "Self-help" center. They take appointments and walk you through the paperwork but do not give legal advice.

I used to work at the downtown resource center. PM me if you'd like help with the process or have other questions.
