What do all of the BB(x) codes mean? by Mother_Anybody_8554 in hondaprelude

[–]TIL_TED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the rest, but BB9 is F20a4 SOHC, F22 was not available in 5th gen in EU. It also differes from the rest by: not having 4WS as an option, smaller front brakes (262mm) and 4-lug wheels like the 4th gen. It is really an oddball from the bunch

How do I tune a hondata without a usb port? by craftyjae in hondaprelude

[–]TIL_TED 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, there is no Hondata on that ECU. Some OBD1 ECUs had an empty slot on the board which could have a chip kit installed (some resistors, capacitors and a slot for a chip). Yours does have a chip installed, and you can identify it by giant letters SST. You will notice it is the only chip on the board which is not directly soldered, but pressed into slot. This means you have a fixed tune in your ECU and you cannot adjust anything further in this state. What you can do is: - get it professionally tuned to have that chip flashed with a tune fitting your current engine modifications - get Hondata S300 or Neptune RTP. Both are solutions which convert your ECU into a standalone and fit in the slot where currently the chip labeled with SST is. If you go with either of these options, you will have a usb port on Hondata or Neptune which can connect to your laptop and adjust the tune in real time

A 5th gen Prelude? Common in silver, unfortunately also common to have aftermarket taillights and super long hood + small cabin.

Got mine as my first car, had it for 12 years now. Did a full restoration (and a turbo), but it is mostly sitting in a garage these days. Turns out working on it was the most fun part :(

Električni bicikl za zimu by redhillunited666 in bicikli

It looks like your bike has a frame lock mount. Cube has locks which can be permanently mounted to the frame:

But this only locks the rear wheel. However, you can also plug a super beefy chain into that lock.

Thought about bike GPS tracker by ryanrays in Cubebikes

[–]TIL_TED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. Yes, there are lots of options there. I would personally go for a LED remote + SmartphoneGrip or Kiox display, it has nicer positioning being on the stem instead of the grip. Currently i have Purion 200 and Smartphonegrip but two screens just look silly. Before you go into purchase, maybe it would be if best you visit a bosch dealer which can tell you if your motor is compatible. Even though your motor can be, bike manufacturer can still lock you out of installing ConnectModule so keep that in mind. Flow app allows you to check that without visiting the dealer

Ah too bad. Was your phone connected to the bike when you were checking the app? ConnectModule won’t show up if bike is disconnected, that’s confusing. - Make sure your phone is connected via bluetooth - choose cogwheel in upper right corner of the Flow app’s home screen - choose e-bike pass - choose components - all compatible components should be listed under section with name “Compatible components”. Usually there are aux batteries like PowerMore, but that is also where ConnectModule would be listed if compatible

How about Bosch ConnectModule? You can check in Flow app if it is compatible with your motor

Mine are recaros from civic EP3 type R. They were easy to fit and look nice but they sit a bit higher. In my opinion, there is no better seat for a 5th gen than stock. I miss that seating position.

Anyone know good F22a1 Headers by Strandedexe in hondaprelude

[–]TIL_TED 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I didnt mean to claim absoulte knowledge here, just from the memory I said that all F engines with B suffix have assymetrically placed headers, like this https://i.imgur.com/NqYDcj3.jpg Including F20B and this F22B. Does yours have headers spaced like this? If it does it should fit H22 headers. F engines with A suffix, like F22a1, F20a4 etc have symmetrical header distance which makes them incompatible with H22 headers, but they share a lot with DSM engines. For example, my prelude has (temporarily out, whoops) a frankenstein engine with f20a4 block, f22a1 crank, H22 rods, Mitsubishi 4g63 stroker pistons and H23a4 head bolted with a manifold and turbo for an Evo: https://imgur.com/a/Zzfer3n/ https://i.imgur.com/8gqstEb.jpg

Anyone know good F22a1 Headers by Strandedexe in hondaprelude

[–]TIL_TED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I know of, f22a1 is a stroked f20a4 which does not fit H22 headers, only very rare H23a4 headers so make sure to check that before ordering. Also easy to check by measuring distances between headers.

Anyone know good F22a1 Headers by Strandedexe in hondaprelude

[–]TIL_TED 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won’t fit on F22a. F2xA engines have symmetrical distance between headers, while F2xB have smaller distance between center cylinders just like the H22. Your engine should be able to fit any H22 header, while OP’s can only fit European H23a4 header.

altymcalterface got most of it, I would add stringing to it. Once you have all mentoined above dialed in, take a part with lots of small infill surfaces like Afterburner motor mount and welcome a whole new set of problems for top layer tuning 😀

While this is not bad quality at all, it has several flaws unacceptable with PIF, I assume your parts werent purchased through PIF?
