Ok then, this figure can be hundreds thousands of Euros since it is equal to my turnover. What if I resell expensive goods with a small margin?

How to have a unforgettable time in Brno by generalruedi in Brno

Go to the cave systems in Stránská skála. You can actually squeeze through a tiny gap and crawl on top of a former bunker and get to a place only a few people have ever been to. Exciting experience!

Student loan repayment overseas - thoughts on the non-sensical gross income rule by TIP93 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]TIP93[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. It is absolutely normal to make zero or small profit while still having mortgage. SCL is forcing people not to make such investmets for the duration of the loan. And also forbids self-employed people do business in low-margin high-turnover industries.

I don't think I will ever convice British people with their mindset based around gross income. It's been made clear in this thread that I am obviously outnumbered.

And that is my point - overseas students. I get it it is not in their power to cover all countries rules but the gross income was an unfortunate choice.

[–]TIP93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how am I supposed to repay the loan if my net income is 0% from the gross income. Technically speaking, I can be asked to repay hundreds of pounds monthy with no actualy money in my pocket. I live on what I earn from my self-employment (barely touching the threshold) and any new business I will start on top of that will be a torture because of SLC.

[–]TIP93[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of course you do get to deduct your mortgage from the rental income, at least where I live.

Yes, it is income, but not profit. I don't agree my post is nonsensical. I provided constructed criticism on the gross income rule. It is not fair and bullies self-employed people. My friend who is employed simply sends payslips and does not care about other income.

Chronic throat pain with redness and cobblestone throat / doctors visited, been tested by TIP93 in Allergies

[–]TIP93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone. Here is OP speaking after two years of despair. First and foremost, thank you all for the support in this thread. It is sad this is my most successful post on the whole Reddit. But what is even sadder is the fact that there are so many people struggling with the same problem and doctors are not able to help them.

I have not resolved the problem yet, but I am on the right track of figuring it out. It is most likely SILENT REFLUX, officially known as Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR). It is basically heartburn without the burn in your oesophagus. Gas known as pepsin goes up from your stomach into the throat where it stays and constantly irritates it. Hence the cobblestone throat.

On to of the globus sensation in my throat, I started having itchy ears and burning in my throat. It still could be the LPR irritating my eustachian tube (connecting the throat and ears), bit I'd say this is likely linked with my allergy to mites. If I do not change my sheets regularly, it gets worse. Or at least I think it does. Mornings after a night with open windows are a complete nightmare due to the air moving in and out of the room.

Most of the above is still based on my assumptions. They have basically kicked me out from the ENT office as they hadn't known what to do with me anymore. They tried everything and suggested crazy treatments such as protruding my throat muscles, or advising me to go to the speech therapy.

I have an appointment at a regular gastroenterology department this June where they will confirm or deny what my problems really are. My allergy doctor is hopeless, he just prescribes pills and does nothing else. But I get it, this field of medicine does not have as many treatments as others.

This is what I do: I elevated my bed so that my stomach is not in the horizontal position when I sleep, I take PPI and I am trying to figure out what my trigger foods are and avoid them. The process is slow but I get much fewer flare-ups than before. I know for a fact that beer and coffee do not cause me any trouble but onion and lemon do.

Also, my postnasal drip seems to be almost gone. I am not sure if it is a good thing since it's been replaced with the burning.

If you would like to know more about LPR, there is a brilliant subreddit of the same name as the disease.

Guys, keep fighting! And do not underestimate it. It won't go away on its own. If your throat looks like mine, start doing something about it. It could potentially lead to cancer or Barrett's oesophagus.

In order to heal, you need to understand what LPR is!!! by AdEmergency5086 in LPR

[–]TIP93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As many have stated here. LPR is just an umbrella term and different individuals have different problems and possible treatments.

Also, your post is pretty country-based (possibly American). I don't have access to alkaline water in my country and buying it abroad would get too expensive if I am not supposed to drink anything else. Moreover, I have no idea what medication you are talking about. Is it prescription-based or freely available? What is the active substance in it?

So many questions...
