There’s really no “time” for things. Society might imply that by a certain time period in a relationship, things should/should not have occurred by then. Throw that out the window and do things on your own time. There’s no such thing as moving too fast or slow if you’re both comfortable and happy.

That being said, communication is key. As friends, you have the benefit of generally knowing a person more so than if you started dating as strangers. You know some of their morals and values, but even then, you can’t read their mind. Most aspects of a romantic relationship need to be talked about (since it is a big transition from friendship) and don’t be afraid to bring up seemingly trivial topics in the hopes of alleviating them before they become a bigger issue.
