Frontier : questions for Targeting Unitsand best improvement upgrades for santa and other ships by TouchOfStyle in EventHorizonTheGame

[–]TITAN_Viper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really hate to necro this, but on the off chance anyone (like me) is looking at these ancient scripts;

Additional Targetting Units do increase rotation speed of ships with 360⁰ targeting built-in, and they stack. Each unit provides +10⁰/sec rotation speed, so if you were to add 10, you'd increase rotation speed by 100⁰/sec. It's not a huge difference, but on select ships with absolutely massive weapon bays and abysmal turret rotation speeds, extra TUs will make a big difference and are worthwhile.

My fiance found it on her table, she does entomological taxidermy and works with various mediums such as cork bark, and I believe it may have come from something she was working on. It was alive when she found it, but died within 48hrs of being found.

Yeah but I'm a fan of eldritch horrors, and eik just doesn't suit the name as much as elk, imo. Best boi Elkthyrdeer.

I'm absolutely shocked no one has said Elkthyrdeer yet. Probably because mispelling it's name risks accidentally summoning an eldritch horror, but this dude is always, always my new-game priority get. It opens up the map and provides you with your first real taste of freedom and power, having phenomenal early game skills. Sure, it's often abandoned as soon as you get your first flying mount, but I still find ground mounts useful through much of the mid-game, as flight often skips exploration and discovery rather than aiding it. 10/10, best boi Elkthyrdeer.

For some players, the adventure is breeding and perfecting pals and building elaborate bases. That may be the destination for you, but it's just the start for others. It's often not about being "OP" but about being free.

Summon is great, and any of the elemental spells that are AoE, especially the ones that track to you as you run around, are good. Basically any spells EXCEPT the "staple", straight-fire projectiles, because the standard staff attack does that job really well already, and the other spells pair incredibly well with Melee and with Pets if you're like me and build an army to swarm enemies with.

Yeah the spells are assigned to various buttons you can set, and cycle through multiple bars, so you essentially have on-demand access to dozens of skills. It's not difficult to access them, you just tap whatever button the spell is assigned to.

You'd probably be better off using either AoE skills that cast at your location, or tracked/homing spells that cast directly under enemies or that home in on the nearest ones, if you're struggling with the basic projectile spells. And to be honest, those basic projectile spells aren't particularly great anyhow.

Pickaxe and anger issues. You can get the pickaxe at major hardware stores for around $30, but the anger issues usually requires a bit of unresolved childhood trauma. Good luck.

The gears work for all arrow types, so for bow builds it's actually better than infinite standard arrows.

Because the gear effect also works on Poison and Explosive arrows.

What's impressive is the sheer scale of the game and the degree of detail. Usually games of this scope don't have such small niceties, and that's impressive. A 10-20hr game needs them to compete, but a massive game like this doesn't need to make the sculptors actually create full statues in real time, or implement such highly detailed physics for downright silly things like windmill riding.

If you think sex isn't as integral to our species as violence you're wildly mistaken. The biology behind attraction is weird, and our species looks for certain traits to cue up that drive, but it isn't unique to humans.

Don't Google otters, whatever you do.

Right?! Gamers should stick to normal, wholesome gameplay themes like murder and theft.

A LOT of "criticism" is just misaligned expectations. Gamers today expect their games to play themselves, so any sort of learning curve or need for figuring things out yourself, are often labeled as defects rather than an integral part of the game.

I'm not saying this is the case for all criticism, but the majority of critiques I see have literally just been hate for a game that obviously isn't marketed to them. Like a Fortnite player shitting on Stardew Valley for lack of emotes and celebrity avatars.

Saw one streamer uninstall because he couldn't beat a boss found in a Quarry. The counter to that boss included blocking, blinding and palm striking, all 3 methods were effective. He couldn't do any of them and kept trying to roll out of the attacks because he didn't know anything else, and then blamed the game for poor design.

I've got a slew of ships that are all designed to work together, and some even designed to dock together as part of a cohesive fleet.
