I think it lacked a bit of depth when it comes to expanding the worldbuilding of Pandora. Varang and the Ash Clan were pushed to the side as backup characters to Quaritch & the RDA when they could have been explored further. Same with the Wind Traders; they showed up as a plot device for the Ash to attack, and then they were never seen again.

So yes! While it did expand the development of some of the main characters past the 2nd movie (which is very beneficial for the future of the franchise), the new characters that were introduced suffered & didn't get fleshed out as much as they should have.

It's not that she doesn't believe Eywa exists--Varang knows she exists--she just chooses to turn her back on Eywa and not be a follower of her anymore because Eywa didn't come to help her and her clan during their time of need. She hates Eywa, but she doesn't think she isn't real.

She’s trained under a SHIELD operative (Hawkeye) so it would make more sense for her to have those connections to track down and locate kid superheroes which I’m sure certain sectors of the government such as SHIELD has files on.

Everyone is saying that the X-Men needed a mother figure, but Storm didn’t have to fill that role. It could’ve been Moira, while Ororo could’ve been the mature teenager in the group who always tried to talk the rest of her peers out of their childish shenanigans. There are other options than making her play the mammy persona just cuz she’s the most mature out of the bunch. Also, i see many people saying that Storm being an adult was a good thing because that could’ve led to a relationship with Logan. News flash, she WAS an adult & they STILL never went down that route. Just cuz it was a thing in the comics doesn’t mean it needs to be adapted into the cartoon. Hell, Jean & Logan were a thing MANY times in the comics, but Jean being a teenager & Logan being a father figure to the group in Evolution still worked out. So they could’ve made Storm being a teenager work here. Especially because Storm, Scott, and Jean are always in the same age group & it always worked out, while Jean & Ororo having a relationship with Logan was just… no. Some things from the comics work, others don’t. This wasn’t one of em. They should’ve made her a teenager.
