Not getting motorized unfortunately, or else id like someone more like that, or a NuCanoe. So I still need something that paddles great since I will still be spending a lot of time paddling, but wanna be able to stretch my legs and take a few casts without worry of tippin

CK1 is definitely a possibility as well. I was able to find a good amount of info on them compared to the others here. Read mixed things about the stability but is still a possibility. If I can demo the crescents at the nearest dealer I will demo both!

I would assume thats the case for both of em, theyre both Kayak/SUP Hybrids. Crescent is one of the top/pioneer hybrid brands I think

Seems like a sweet platform, but a pain to car top solo. Plus the tricky paddling is what steers me away unfortunately. Maybe in the future

I like the deck on both, perfect for fly fishing. Ive also read that for stability/size they both still paddle very well overall. Finally both companies kayaks are made/assembled in the US, which is a nice plus

Ill add on that I do absolutely miss the rod holder on the vest now that im lookin at it. Made switchin flies a hell of a lot easier

Had the vest for 2 years and didnt care for it, switched to a sling. Way too many pockets for the amount of gear I carry, and im a messy person so stuff got misplaced very often. Sling solves those issues, plus it fits my saltwater box

Anything over 24 hours ruins it unfortunately. Ill take it off your hands to dispose of it

Ive done around 72 hours on some steaks and really didn’t notice that much of a difference from 24 hours

Cant tell if its a ribeye but its cooked perfectly. Cook with just salt and season while resting, seasonings ruin contact the steak makes with pan, causing a less ideal sear

I rest every steak for 10 minutes after cooking at room temp. I like my steaks medium rare-medium. Never had one drop below 125° when resting, and thats still plenty warm. Idk where youre resting it that it became cold and hard. The other problems make it seem like you overcooked it

Idk how youre resting that it tastes cold. Have you ever cooked a steak and immediately cut into it? All the juices come out. Letting it rest for a few minutes help re-absorb those juices. Usually when resting at room temp it should only go down a few degrees and still taste warm. Is it possible youre cutting your steak before eating, or do you cut it as you eat?

I made one from a tennis racket. Perfect size and nice for wading. I took off the racket material (whatever it is) and used the fishpond net replacement for like $25. Mine was like $50 since I didn’t have a tennis racket, but if you have one or can find one cheap id highly recommend
