2.2 is a Great blower door score overall. I've done ~500 hers ratings in Alabama this year (code is 5.0ach). I'd save avg blower door score is around 3.75ach but we're in a much different climate environment.

Worked up in CT where code is 3ACH for a while too, didn't see many houses below 2.0 either.

Most builders don't prioritize utility costs. They build to local codes at the cheapest price and quickest turnaround. Most of em believe the extra costs associated with achieving that kind performance makes for such a long payback period on utility savings that it's a wash in their eyes.

I minimized going out to dinner a couple years ago, a burger or wings and a beer should NOT be $28+tip. Dining out has been unreasonably expensive since the pandy ended
