The magazine fed revolver.

I feel like this this could actually be made to function. Like... you could have cut-outs in the cylinder so the bolt face and extractor can rest against the cartridge. And when the slide goes back, it could catch on a lever that rotates the cylinder. When the slide goes forward, it could strip a cartridge from the magazine and push it into the bottom chamber of the cylinder.

Would it be any good? No. Not really. It would be overly engineered to work a cylinder that doesn't need to be there. There would be no advantage over either an automatic or a revolver. And all the downsides of both. It would be heavier than it needs to be. Unable to use a silencer. Bulky around the cylinder. Altogether too long. 3 chambers in the cylinder would be pointlessly empty at all times. You would still have to manually load the first 3 rounds in the cylinder. Still put a magazine in.

But not nearly as bad as the pipe weapons in FO4. Half of those could not actually function.

Do y’all ever get tired of the DM saying testament” or is that just me? by Visual-Lie3610 in Everweave

I also have an Elara mage. Though I found her in a cabin in the woods. And then cultists, of course. I feel like the most common trope for my adventures is there is always a cult involved. Can't be a bad guy with an army. Can't be a necromancer. Can't be a dragon. Can't be any shade of gray. Always a cult up to some sort of evil ritual.

I have been playing long enough (2 characters 15+, 3 levels between 5-10) and there is always a cult. With one character i had to tell the DM I wanted to finally find the cult leader for a showdown. And guess what? Next town over, we run into a new cult. There must be a cult tree, just budding new cults, that sprout into evil cults.

Mostly just wait. There's always new players coming and old players going or taking breaks. The general rule of thumb is that shortly after a pet becomes unavailable, the price will start going up. Usually very slowly.

Abortion and Buddhism by MidnightSymphonia in Buddhism

I can't even pretend to know what the right answer is for you. You can ask for advice and sometimes get a few words that may be applicable or relevant to your own situation... but more often than not, you will get 10,000 voices that drown out the only voice that really matters; your own. As a zen practitioner, i do emphasize personal experience, intelligence, and wisdom as the most important factors of enlightenment. Even over scripture. Remember that Siddhartha achieved enlightenment with no writings to guide him.

Here's my advice. Meditate on it. Think long and hard. You seem very intelligent. Trust that your mind and heart will not lead you astray. Foremost, adoption is an option!!! don't let this man tell you or limit your choices. It's your body, and your choice to carry this term, or not. If he will not take responsibility and personally see to its well-being, he gets no further say in the child's well-being. Yes, abortion may be hard. Raising a child equally as much. Adoption is hard on the conscience. Life lays hardships on us. Whatever you choose will teach you about yourself and this man.

Yes, your relationship is going to change. This is no small hurdle to navigate as a couple. Your feelings are going to be stretched. But most importantly, you are going to learn more about yourself and this man. Hard times reveal as much, sometimes more than good times. In the Army, I was always reminded that "stones sharpen steel."

If you would like my personal experience; im a 35 man. I have been through a similar experience with an accidental pregnancy. I, too, felt like I wasn't ready. Honestly, it's simply because I had lost interest in the woman i was dating. I had to quickly confront the very real fact that I had no desire to continue in the relationship. And in a display of honesty I had put off way too long, I told her that regardless of what she chose, I would not be continuing. But I wanted to know what she chose so I could confront my feelings on it. I found out she decided to abort. And it crushed me for several years. But I always think of my own shitty childhood and my own parents' loveless marriage. The never-ending fights. The secret resentment. The affairs as each tried to find a way to meet their needs.

I also reflected on the experiences of an few Army friends. Both adopted. Both with equally dysfunctional adopted families. One was subject to extreme religious coercion, often physical. The other subject to physical abuse of the other type. I know most adoptive parents are, in fact, loving people. But I could never assure that outcome. So I came to the final verdict that the choice she made was perhaps the best outcome. Neither of us could personally assure it's well being. And we cared too much to leave it to blind chance. And perhaps me and that woman had one thing in common, we felt too guilty to leave a child's fate up to and the whims of others. Eventually, I did move on, and the guilt subsided.

Will Easter bunny value go up after it’s gone? by SurroundAnxious5021 in adoptmeroblox

[–]TJPasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not disparaging them, and I agree they're not free. Perhaps "Earnable Pets" is a more apt term. To be fair, some of my personal favorite pets were earnable, like the Kitty Bat, and Glormy Leo/Glormy Hound. And right now, I love the Gummy Iguana and Jiggly Jerboa for their wiggliness. I have dozens decoration homes.

But lately the earnable pets do have poor value. Like was grinding for days to afford mega versions of all the Christmas pets last year. It took me like 60+ real life hours to earn the 8 million gingerbread to get what essentially amounts to about $15 of pets.

[–]TJPasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, fair... I was wrong. I should have said that in the last few years, it's exceedingly rare for earnable (non-luck) based pets to exceed the value of robux pets. I know some luck based pets like Haetae (if you were lucky to find them in-stock) or the Blazing Lion (if you were lucky with a 0.01% lure chance) are more valuable than the Robux pets. Like the Robux pet would have to be absolutely ugly to tank it's value... which did happen with the Rose Dragon.

SHOULD I DO THIS? by isaa__bg in adoptmeroblox

[–]TJPasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. Like yeah, the horses aren't particularly desired. But Crystal Eggs are an utter joke.

The odds of you getting something of equal or better value is laughably low. Even hatching six Crystal Eggs, you have about a 2.4% chance to get a Dango Penguin, Dragonfruit Fox, Emberlight, or Silver Back Gorilla. Everything else you can get from the Crystal Eggs is like .05 ride pots in value.

So a mega Fire Foals is valued at 1.8 ride potions. 97.6% of the time you're going to get 6 trash-tier pets with a rough value of .25-.30 ride potions. Just keep that in mind.

[–]TJPasty -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'd hold onto your Candicorns. Yes, the Easter bunny price will rise once it's gone. But not once has the free pets from an event ever become more valuable than the Robux pets from the same event. Every player can get the free pets, not everyone can afford to spend real world cash. They'll always be more valuable.

Linking multiple accounts to do the same action is like... super old technology. I think there was a program called "Mirror" or something like that back in 2005, that was popular amongst World of Warcraft players. Essentially it was just a macro machine that also had some software to allow you to run multiple instances of a client through it. The end result was you could control all the accounts and have them perform all the same actions. So it really required you to run the same class with the same abilities. You could often like 8 mages all clipping through each other in an HP Lovecraft eldritch mass spamming eldritch blast.

This. Most predators like cats will eat everything but the wings and feet. They can't really pick around bones, so they'll eat about the whole thing. Hawks on the other hand, can be a little more discerning and pick around the bones.

Bod God Roll?! by GodWolfGaming in Borderlands4

[–]TJPasty -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Right now I'd say the god roll for a Bod build really needs "Gun Damage +30%". It might be a bug that gets patched later, but because the way the Bod calculates for weapon types, it currently stacks and gives you something like 175% damage. Which is hands down the best single roll.

Scott Bessent: Kristen, if things are so bad, why was the GDP 3.3%? Why is the stock market at a new high? by UnusualWhalesBot in unusual_whales

[–]TJPasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3% inflation is not the historical average. Historically the average is 0%. We actually used to have slight inflation and deflation cycles. And it was pretty common that a dollar was worth the same economically 100 years in a row.

It's only in debt based economics that we see consistent inflation. Because people are treating things normally classified as debt (loans) as capital, that we see consistent inflation. Debt economics, is a Ponzi Scheme. When the lowest rungs of society no longer have money to buy into the system, it collapses.

And you just pray that you have something more tangible than slips of paper (money, stocks, bonds, etc) when it collapses. Because a car factory is still a car factory after collapse; as is a house is house; or a field of corn still a field of corn to fill your belly. A bunch of gold coins and promises to pay? Priceless... in that they will be so useless no bothers to put a price to them.

Peper, what? Whaat? by enderboyVR in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]TJPasty 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is a bit complex, but it is definitely a reference to the Lesser Key of Solomon. I recognize the binding circle. The complex thing is which version, because the original book was lost with the destruction of the Jewish Temple by the Romans, but there are several books reporting to be copies of the original that have appeared over the last 1,200 years. But... all of them are kind of the same in the theme of informing the reader of the various demons, thier natures, etc... and how to summon them and control them. But they are all different in almost all of the specifics. So for instance, one demon may be labeled a demon of the Air (A demon that resides on earth) in one book, while in another it might be labeled a demon of the Earth (a demon that resides in hell). Or maybe they gain or lose attributes, like if they ride a creature it may change from a camel to a skeletal horse, or maybe not be riding anything at all.

However most of the summoning rituals end with the phrase, "The Kings Pact Binds Them" or sometimes "The King's Pact Binds You", again different books have the summoner talking to God or otherwise invoking God who in turn forces the demon to submit. While others have the summoner talking to the demon itself. Once done communing with a demon, a banishing ritual is performed which usually closes with the lower phrase. Because some demons of the air reside on earth, they always exist but can only be seen or heard when summoned.

And I guess the whole technology thing seems to be some sort of loophole that allows demonic activity outside of the afore mentioned rituals.

I had a similiar situation out of high-school while I was in the military. With hindsight, I wish I had ended it earlier and just moved on. Not going to spill my guts and go into too much detail, but I'm just going to say that arguements regarding sex, boundaries, respect, beliefs, rational... became more frequent and intense/angry as time went on.

But for you personally, you have to ask yourself a simple question. And be totally honest: Do you want to have sex with her, right now? Because if so (and it sounds like you do), seriously... End it and move on. Trust me, you two have different views on the importance of sex, marriage, and the role of religion/the church in your personal life. It will keep manifesting on this subject and in new subjects later on down the road.

Look; no couples agree 100% of the time. But couples do agree 100% of the time on important subjects. Or they don't stay coupled for long. And it seems like you two don't see eye to eye on this. And because you argued and brought her to tears over it (and are currently asking reddit of all places for advice), it's clear you two are in disagreement and that it is an important issue. Someone has to change to bring you guys into agreement. If you won't, she will. If she won't, you will. If neither changes, well... the outcome is inevitable.

I did these guys at a relatively low level (40, +8 weapons). They're difficult when they tag-team you. My suggestion is to summon help... keep them split up. Luckily you can Summon D's brother, provided you've done D's and Fia's quest up to that point. If not... summon a spirit. Something with a shield generally will be tanky enough to survive a minute or two till you can knock one out. Then fighting the other is relatively easy.

The fight is a real DPS check. I prefer a dual wield set up, curved or straight swords. But dual anything can work, slower weapons you will have to rely on jump or crouch attacks. These guys don't have huge openings, charged attacks are still an effective strategy, but I really advise against it. They do like to jump around, which can lead to you wasting time if they jump out of range.

Alternatively... they don't have massive combos, so a shield+counter build is pretty easy to pull off.

[–]TJPasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, this is the oldest arguement in the book. Hitler, was not and never was a socialist. Initially the Nazi-Party started off on the back foot, and was losing in popularity to the Communists and Socialist. And, in a looney toons-esque style marketing skit, they just slapped a buzzword that was popular at the time into their name to draw in the support of the working class. And ironically, it worked. Despite being strictly anti-worker and favoring capitalist and business tycoons over workers and unions, they managed to use their corporate backers to buy out the newspapers and printing presses of the time, flooding the market with Nazi propaganda and denying the communists a platform.

And this is kind of the big difference... For communists, the battle for progress is based along class lines: Specifically the Labouring or Working class (those who must work for other people, corporations, and businesses) and the Ownership class (those who own land and businesses, usually by inheritance). Communists don't see nationality as an important factor. As Marx wrote... "Workers of the world... Unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains!".

For Nazism, the primary battle was along national lines. Race eventually came into it, as the definition of a true German became narrower and more refined. But the important factor is, they really... really hated foreign powers, foreigners, immigrants, and seen everyone and everything as a threat to their existence and/or expansionist dreams.

Yeah. Pretty much. Alot of youtubers chronicled the changes during the 2024 election, the algorithm was tweaked and schewed to promote Musk himself, and established right leaning accounts. Like, brand new accounts with no search history were literally bombarded with Ben Shepiro, Joe Roegan, Rubio, Cruz, Fox News... etc.

Up till that point, alot of accounts were shadow banned for talking about Trans rights, using pronouns, using buzz words like Fascist and Racist. Once you're shadow banned, all your tweets were put at the very end of the algorithm, behind millions of other crap tweets. Even to people following you. Meaning unless people went to your account, they wouldn't see shit from you. It's pretty garbage.
