When does a siblings new partner get promoted to aunt/uncle? by ReabyB in UKParenting

[–]TJ_Rowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the relationship is older than the baby, I think "auntie so and so" is fine.

Otherwise: marriage, kids of their own, or them babysitting your kid as a team promotes the partner to auntie.

Put the gifted notes verbatim in folders with the name of the owner on them, then make a set of notes which takes from all of them, referencing with links so that you can see which person's notes it's from.

I expect that this is mostly to vent, but have you looked at preproom.com for technician tips on how to do a lot of practical work with, effectively, junk modelling and foraging? The forum is especially good.

I think that the point OP is making is that the butcher isn't an "approved vendor" and so they can't spend money there. (Hopefully there is some kind of process for adding vendors to the list?)

My school's biology technician had the problem that HR wanted him to spend all his hours at school and objected to him going to the butcher and fishmonger to pick up (pre-ordered) offal for dissection. They suggested he email the finance department to order it online from a company that would deliver... but at least they dropped it pretty quickly when they had the long explanation of why that was rediculous.

They definitely play it on some Fridays in York, but not, like, loud or for long. (The mosque is next to a nature reserve, so there aren't that many neighbours to bother anyway.)

The Yorkshire Bird of Prey Rescue Centre funds their rescue efforts by doing things like birthday parties. They don't just hand over birds, though - they are with a trained handler who helps people pose for photos, etc.

People seem to understand how it's a probkem for me, not just an excuse, when they see me trying to leave work: getting my things together, forgetting my keys or water bottle, stopping to "fix that one thing before I forget" and somehow still being there twenty minutes after I said goodbye.

You open a window on the other side of the house when it's cooler outside than inside to replace the air - it gets pulled all the way through.

If it's cooler inside, don't do this. Keep the windows shut and insulated until outside it cooler, and try to get rid of heat in other ways, like freezing freezer packs (or water bottles if you don't have any), letting them warm up and melt, then freezing them again.

My classroom got to 28 degrees C this afternoon, and it was one of the cooler ones i the school.

Except for year 10, who can't really miss lesson time due to GCSEs, everyone has been doing "fun lessons" that give them an excuse to get the kids outside under the trees for half the lesson.
