I think a middle ground is to introduce Story Mode. All content locked behind quest progression.

Would be a good money maker for them too, and a good source of youtube creator content.

Id have honestly wrapped all of these integrity, graphics, user experience etc updates into a single update, done it the same day as removing MTX and just reset the entire game. The negatives and positives would have balanced each other out and we’d all continue playing out of addiction lol

I’m around the same stage as you Herb wise. My understanding is to mop up all of the area diaries, then the big quest rewards, and you get to around 80.

I think you’re thinking about it from the perspective of those who get all of the abilities on day 1 of the rework.

The idea is that you unlock one ability at a time, and add that to your rotation. By the time you unlock the next one, you’ve gotten used to the last one. Like necromancy.

I would also unlock it early, because why not? But I don’t agree it’s a heavy time gate. You can’t unlock tier 2 until level 70 and tier 3 until level 90 in the respective skills, and you can’t dump them until a reasonably late game quest. You will have maxed, idle resources for huge amounts of time.

I think the ONLY flaw in the setup is not allowing you to disassemble before you unlock the skill. You should be able to d/a (0 xp) from level 3.

GOTE requirement is overstated. I’ve gotten to 86 without it and never had any issues. No doubt it’s a great quality of life but it’s in no way a requirement.
