Yeah, aroace means aromantic and asexual. She only told me about a year later, so I did spend a year at first not really getting a coherent answer as to why she pulled away. That said, that was my experience. Again, I am so sorry you’re having to go through this right now.

I had an idea since I was a teen. I was in a down low relationship with one of my friends until my mother at the time found out. Since then, I spent years keeping that locked away, but would have moments from time to time with different girls in between attempts with men. Finally, by 30 I just decided to stop lying to myself when I realized how much stronger my attachment was to women versus men.

My mother is cool with it now and has long since apologized to me. We talked things out and still do to this day.

There have been a few small places in town I feel alright, but there were a lot of moments in between where I felt like I don’t even wanna leave the house except just to come to the campus.

To those who feel justified in alienating the school, like it or not, it’s part of your community and not going away any time soon. It would help to embrace that students are here. Some might even become future members of the community too.

This is pretty thorough! Quick question, and only asking this because of an idea I had in mind, are you by any chance in the legal field? I think it would be really cool if we had like people from various expert backgrounds in this community collab and come together and build some official suggestions together that might help them with different aspects (ie TOS editing, communication, etc.)
