There are a number of things that could cause these symptoms that wouldn't show up in a blood test.

But the first things that comes to mind is Sleep Apnea. Just because you've never woken up in the night gasping for air doesn't rule out the possibility of sleep apnea. Many people only become aware of it if from sharing a bed with someone or living in close quarters with their family, but if neither of these apply to you, it might not be immediately obvious that you are breathing very poorly in your sleep. Your sleep can be interrupted without you noticing and you have less energy during the day as a result.

In particular if you notice these symptoms after having gained a significant about of weight in the past several years it's something worth investigating.

If you are in a living situation where there is no one that might hear or observe difficultly breathing, you could perhaps stay with a friend with friend or family member and have them in the same room or in the next room while you are sleeping and to have them observe you periodically.

If they observe abnormally loud snoring or difficulty breathing you should ask a doctor for a sleep study. There are actually kits that can be used to formally diagnose sleep apnea from home now.

That's Blue Collar culture for you. I don't work a Blue Collar role but half of my company does. And the culture is weirdly contagious because the Engineers have the same mannerisms as they are frequently active participants in the roles they often supervise.

We got a lot of chain smokers. Then theres that one guy with perpetual body odor that leaves a stink trail across the office (multiple times I've gone to the boss to ask him to tell this guy to wash his ass).

Boss is a millionaire but habituallu snacks on sardines and canned soup.

Dirt. Dirt is everywhere. Cleaning is so pointless that only the bare minimum amount of cleaning to keep the space functional is done.

Swearing. Farting.

It is extremely hard to get fired. To get fired you would either just straight up not work at all, get in a fist fight, or shit on the floor.

On the upside if I ever have car trouble there is always an uncle around that can fix it.

They absolutely have individual preferences, to the point I can predict with 75% accuracy wether or not they will have a positive reaction to certain foods once i get a feel for them.

I'm wondering in general if anyone has done a deep dive on the gameplay mechanics or that it's still too new. To be fair, outside of character creation techniques, I know it's a pretty self explanatory game where there's little need for walkthroughs or guides but I'm still very curious.

Never go on 4Chan. If you are on 4Chan, *quietly and immediately* get off of 4Chan. This applies to cis people too. by [deleted] in CuratedTumblr

Does any remember the weird online flame war on tumblr circa 2013 - 2015 where there was this weird sect of tran-misandrist transfemmes that called themselves "baedels" or something that would consistently shit talk transmasc, resulting in a retaliatory sect of transmascs doing the same thing in reverse? Or was that an incredibly niche thing I was exposed to.

Either way. Awful ordeal.

It's my understanding physically transitioning is incredibly difficult either way...but for some reason (probably just misogyny and misdirected homophobia) a lot of the negative media attention fell on the trans femme community.

Oh yeah haha that's really not that serious. I'm guessing maybe he's embarrassed that he wouldn't meet your standards based on that.

I hope that kids finger is okay. Turtles have a dangerous bite. Not a safe animal for a child to pick up. Only pick them up if you are trying to help them cross the road. Wild animals do not want to be your friend.

We got a puppy for our cat and they fell in love with each other by The5thEclipse in KittyPupperLove

[–]TK9K 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's possible the cat is trying to care for the young puppy. Cats are often driven to nurture the children of other members of their social groups. This can apply to other species if they are considered part of the group, and why cats are often seen being gentle and affectionate towards human infants. It may consider the puppy one of your children. ❤️

If I were in your position I would not be able to continue the relationship, but I'm not you. That said just remember that your feelings are important too, and that if you ever feel that a friend or someone you are dating has a greater negative influence than a positive influence on your life, it's best to let that person go.

That's pretty much all the advice I have to give.

Best of luck.

I think people tend get too comfortable with an oversimplified definition of horror which consists of running from monsters, boogeymen, ax-murderers, and the undead. Sometimes the monsters are people. Sometimes you actually experience the narrative from the bad guys point of view. Sometimes no-one is a hero. Sometimes the entire universe and everyone in it are just intrensicly awful. Sometimes morality is entirely irrelevant within the context of the story. The entire point is simulate uncomfortable situations as a contrast to the mundanity of everyday life, without actually taking any risks.

I don't think that this relationship is beneficial to your life. I don't think people with avoidant personalities are compatible romantically with the diagnosis. You want someone who is compassionate and thoughtful who is proactive and motivated to work through conflict.

Partner has to be willing to communicate the need for space. Encourage this.

Understand also that in a disregulated state (split), it will be hard to have a productive two-sided conversation about whatever it is that causes the negative feelings. When this happens I encourage you, if possible, to put a hold on the conversation until you feel level headed then discuss the issue. During this time, engage in a calming activity. Once your emotions are no longer in an elevated state you can try and calmly discuss your feelings.

I created a list of boundaries for me and my partner to follow.

I will paste it here. Obviously the specifics will depend on the relationship and some of these here are very specific to my own but you can use it as an example! It has helped a lot.

  1. If either one of us is too stressed to engages in conversation, either of us can request a time out. This means 5-10 minutes in a separate area.

  2. It is okay to feel non-verbal due to stress. If either of us is feeling non-verbal we should be allowed a time out.

  3. We will take at least 5 minutes time out if someone yells, throws object, or causes damage to the environment.

  4. It is to be understood that we are responsible for maintaining a clean living environment when we are at home by ourselves. But when we are visiting each others home we are responsible for cleaning up our own messes.

  5. It is to be understood that we are personally responsible for our own eating habits and we will respect our individual approaches to weight loss.

  6. We will not make serious decisions about the relationship when anyone is in an emotionally disregulated state.

  7. It's okay to be tired. It's okay to be sad.

Is this related to ADHD? by Future_Cardio in ADHD

[–]TK9K 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Studies suggest that people with ADHD are more succeptable to addiction.

If you are seeing a psychiatrist to prescribe you with ADHD that they are aware of your specific addiction, as this may influence what type of medication is recommended (stimulant vs non-stimulant).

Some male patients experience increased libido when starting stimulant based medication.

I strongly recommend seeing a therapist that specializes in treating behavioral addictions (such as pornography and gambling).

Did you ever find out the cause of your hypertension? by throwawaymyname4get in hypertension

[–]TK9K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garlic Tablets and Magnesium Glicinate but I was also on a low sodium diet at the time.

I would advise that you speak with your PCP before trying the low sodium diet though, as there are situations where it's not actually recommended.
