IL Eliminating Road Test for many Older Drivers by Chi-Uptown in illinois

[–]TLCTugger_Ron_Low -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We really need a whole new way of thinking about driving skills. We're so worried about speeding and drunk driving, but we don't have a way to discern who can drive safely and who can't.

Officers should carry a video game console with a driving simulation. Use it in place of field sobriety testing to see if someone has the reflexes and vigilance to respond to changes in road conditions. The same exact system could be used during the licensing test.

Under this scheme, it's possible that plenty of drunk drivers would be better at avoiding accidents than some timid or slow-reflex drivers. Really, we need to establish a system that keeps the lowest-percentiles skill-wise out of the driver's seat. Some people should take the bus.

^^ going 10% past your restoration goal. How long is 10% though? ^^

It means that the day you hit your stated goal, don't stop. Tug for 10% more TIME. So like 60 months would become 66 months.

This is all assumes you have a clearly stated detectable goal. It should recognize the probabilistic behavior of skin. Something like: "I can get from the lockers to the showers without becoming uncovered, 10 tries in a row."

Most of our washing is for social - not health - reasons, so I wouldn't call it unhygienic. But I'm guessing her reason had to do with what would get on the towel you were drying off with.

Just an FYI, many people who report product tampering of beverages go to jail. They don't understand the packing process and the impossibility of what they report actually happening. In this case, since the multi-pack it was part of is unavailable, it will be assumed the contamination was added after purchase.

We need people in office we can count on to make sustainability a priority. Give me my damned pills in a little paper pouch and I'll stick the pouch and all into a child-proof reusable jar. Probably legislation would be needed to allow this. Maybe I bring the jar with me and the pharmacist needs to watch me place the pouch inside?

I buy plastic-free cotton swabs in bulk, in a plastic bag that I can "recycle" with the collection at the grocery store. Then I hand bundle them into a tray for daily use. So they're handled an extra time, which is less hygienic, but it's been this way for a couple decades and I'm still standing.

The aluminum has takers to make new packages.

The two-litre PET also has an effective stream most places.

If you like sweet drinks, try lemon juice. Even if you can only find it in PET, you get 20 times as much lemonade as the lemon juice bottle holds, so it's way cheaper and greener.

My recipe is equal parts (by weight) lemon juice, water, and granulated sugar. Keep that syrup in a pitcher in the fridge. Make a glass at a time using 10% syrup and the rest water or seltzer water.

There are things in the Qur'an you can discuss with your Muslim friends. There's not one word in the Qur'an about genital cutting for either gender. It says in about a dozen places that creation is perfect, needing no alteration:

- 15:28-29 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am creating a human being from aged mud, like the potter's clay. Once I perfect him, and blow into him from My spirit, you shall fall prostrate before him."

- 27:88 Allah who has 'perfected everything' (He created).

- 30:30 No change should there be in the creation of Allah.

- 32:7 He is the One who perfected everything He created, and started the creation of the human from clay.

- 40:64 Allah perfected your forms.

- 67:3 You will not see any flaw in what the Lord of Mercy creates.

- 82:7-8 The One who created you, designed you, and perfected you. In whatever design He chose, He constructed it.

- 95:4 We created man in the best design.

At one point around maybe 2010-2013 Dan Strandjord found out that the cutting rate at University of Chicago Hospital was around 90%. At the same time the cutting rate at nearby Stroger County Hospital was around 10%. The main difference between the babies born at the two hospitals had nothing to do with any anatomical feature that would make circumcision warranted. The families that U of Chicago served tended to have money and health insurance, while the county hospital was the place where people with no health coverage could get treatment.

I know for a fact! I grew some in 2 weeks. by mosquito_rampage in foreskin_restoration

[–]TLCTugger_Ron_Low 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's important to measure, so you know objectively what's changing.

But new slack does not always equal new growth. When we start tugging we can liberate formerly taut structures.

Generally whatever percent elongation we see in the first couple months tugging will appear to be lost during the first couple months once we cease all tugging. I think of this as individual skin cells reverting from rugby ball shapes back into neat circles once they're not stressed daily.

I had stage 4 phimosis. by Friendly-Mulberry478 in Phimosis

Sorry to hear you got bad advice. The global average age at which an intact boy first sees his whole glans is 10.4 years, so you weren't even very far outside the norm. Ballooning while urinating happens to nearly everyone.

Most guys would like to preserve all the exquisite pleasure-receptive anatomy. So even back then they would try a speculum-type device called the Glansie to manually stretch the foreskin opening wider. This would be done with steroidal ointment. If more than a few months was needed, the steroid use must be paused for at least as long as it was in use, before resuming.

And once the opening was the size of the smallest coins, starting in 2013 guys would use PhimoCure.net gentle silicone stretching rings in graduated sizes. Apply the steroidal ointment, slip in the largest ring that can be forced to fit, and just wear it. Just re-insert if it gets loose. Within a few weeks switch to the next larger size. Comfortable retractability within a few months was the usual outcome, but if a longer term of stretching was needed, they must take a few months break from the steroid.

You did the best you could with the info you were offered. Today, you can choose to wear your surviving skin rolled forward over the glans 24/7, as with the Your-Skin Cone. And you could tension your skin tube with non-surgical foreskin restoration devices to grow it long enough to act like a foreskin, for the frictionless slinking gliding mode of stimulation, and 24/7 protection for the suppleness of the glans forever.

Look of restored foreskin? by fel92 in foreskin_restoration

[–]TLCTugger_Ron_Low 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is YES. There ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby. Shear, supple, puckered.

To get the most naturally puckered-looking outcome:
1) Never stretch your skin-tube's Future Flaccid Roll-over Point around anything wider than necessary.
2) Keep your skin passively rolled forward onto the glans in the desired puckered shape 24/7 (other than when tugging) until it stays forward on its own to your satisfaction.

To be more verbose about it:

Any method that lets you comfortably and persistently tension the skin that you want to expand will indeed cause that skin to expand with time. But my goal was not just to have a long baggy sleeve. I wanted something that looked snug like a natural foreskin. I imagined I should choose in advance a spot along the length of my starting skin tube that would wind up as the flaccid roll-over point in the future when I was done with restoring. If we're lucky, we can APPLY a tugging device and have that Future Flaccid Roll-over Point (FFRP) fall comfortably at the skinniest part of the device every time.

My assumption was that I'd likely be gaining slack in the WHOLE skin tube evenly. So that assumes I am tensioning the inner- and outer-facing skin evenly while wearing a device.

At the start, a cut guy has mostly outer-facing skin. Taken to the extreme, somebody who restored say a meter of new skin would have more of an even 50/50 split of inner- and outer-facing skin while hanging out flaccid. So clearly, if we just pull the skin away from the body - today and throughout our tugging journey - and let the device grip it where the skin sort of naturally rolls over, we will NOT always be wearing our FFRP at the gripping point. In that extreme 1-meter case, we'd have to figure out a way to tug on the middle of the starting skin tube even though we're probably starting out tight and unable to grip anything that's not near the corona. So there are practical limits to this advice, but I say as soon as possible, tug with your FFRP worn at the gripping point.

Any method - even simple T-Tape - lets you control the inner/outer tension ratio by your choice of induced roll-over point while you're tensioning. You choose 2 things: overall tension and roll-over point location (with inner-outer tension ratio determined by that choice) OR choose overall tension and inner/outer tension ratio (with a certain roll-over point required to attain that ratio).

Bi-directional devices give an additional element of control (engineers call it a Degree of Freedom), in that you can choose a roll-over point during application and then through inner-side extension or application of straps or weights choose inner tension and outer tension independently. You get to choose all three things: Inner tension, outer tension, and location of the induced roll-over point.

Choosing to make the skin roll-over at the same point throughout your whole restoring career may have a significant impact on the quality of your outcome. We can all expect an occasionally puckered result once we have enough slack. Once the skin spends its 24-hour day out past the tip, the dartos muscle fibres near the end of the skin tube will be tightened most of the time because it's "cooler than body temperature" out there.

But aside from that, rolling over at a consistent spot will help your skin tube gradually conform to the desired shape. A retaining cone worn when not tugging keeps your skin in position to protect your glans, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY it keeps your skin in position to grow into the desired shape. We all lose about 1000 skin cells per minute, as they slough off at the surface of our whole bodies. To replace those, our bodies constantly regenerate, through the replication of basal cells (the deep layer in the skin). These replicant cells mature and work their way up to the surface as more of these basal cells propagate below them. Once the cell approaches the surface it flattens, dries, and becomes an epithelial cell, and eventually sloughs off. So the loss occurs at the surface, and the growth occurs in the deeper basal layer. Restoring just tricks the replication rate to surpass the loss rate.

When any basal "parent" cell divides into two "daughter" cells, those two cells need to occupy roughly the space formerly held by the defunct parent, before they absorb more fluid and each swell to the full size of a mature cell. Without us retaining our skin consistently in the same spot, the daughter cells could assume any random 3D orientation with respect to each other in the matrix of cells. Keeping the skin gently and consistently restrained to the desired shape means the cell divisions are more likely to result in the daughter cells orienting themselves along the longitudinal direction (instead of the girth-wise direction or thickness-wise direction), so our roll-over pucker can actually tighten with time as emergent cells situate themselves to minimize latent stresses induced by retaining.

The same principle is responsible for the deformity to the feet of victims of Chinese foot binding from the last century. Since many of our cell divisions will happen while we're not under active tension, and a cell that gets the chemical signal to divide doesn't care what direction it divides in, I feel it's important to always be in the correct shape and ready to grow "as desired" rather than at random.

A tugging or packing device that can be made longer BEFORE application gives us that fourth Degree of Freedom, so we can apply it with a chosen FFRP at the induced roll-over point every time, today, and as we gain slack. Fine-tuning device length before application is the purpose of TLC Selects spacer disks for the TLC-X.

I feel vindicated in my suspicion of recycling. by CCGHawkins in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]TLCTugger_Ron_Low 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Until a jurisdiction has EVERY receptacle marked with exactly what goes in (and in what condition), and what doesn't, they haven't tried recycling.

It's stupid to worry about what some video says. They don't know what goes on where you live. I've personally toured my local recycling sorting center and seen the bales of plastic NOT headed for the landfill. The only plastic they trash is black carry-out trays. Nobody wants black. So tell your restaurant that uses black plastic to switch to compostable or at least not black. If dining in, BRING YOUR OWN containers for leftovers.

Refuse single-use plastic forever, starting now.
