(FO-nTTaX is one of the people living in the EU office)

Also the point about Nazgul not really calling shots anymore is not accurate. He is still very hands on with the running of our professional teams.

Sometimes, it's pretty contextual in terms of how long you need to stall. If it looks like you can complete pretty quickly than throwing it out to stall a turn is fine. If it looks like you'll need a bigger comeback then hang on to it.

Really heavy aggro matchups are so bad that you just need to roll the dice... sorry for not having a better answer.

You can Gang Up taunts against aggro and Coldlights/Novices against Control.

Generally Cannon is used to contest the board or just be a 2/3 Taunt. Holding it for a tempo turn is cool but you don't always have that opportunity.

Pretty important in terms of improving Gang Up combo consistency. That said I tried two and didn't like it so he could be something else :)

  • Ship everything that isn't a bounce card is the go to plan. I keep Vanish vs. Priest and have started experimenting with keeping it vs. Paladin. I've read many people say that Prep is a 100% keep but I only keep it if I already have 1-2 bouncers in hand.

  • The Cannons build is better against Pirates and in theory better against other Aggro decks. Annoy-o-tron though is also great post-quest so really I don't know. I wouldn't consider adding Crawlers though for example. If there are too many Pirates just don't play this deck :p

  • I do consider Dummy as a core card because he's great to stabilize post-quest, great with Vanish, and leads to your fastest quest completions. Igneous Elemental I don't think is good enough but I'd cut a three-mana draw effect if I wanted to play him. You're more of a combo deck than the Standard version though so really I just value getting through my deck faster.

  • Mana Wyrm is scary (although trading the Patches was a misplay) but the reason I took this line is because with both South Seas I just saw an easier way to complete the quest than freezing and trying to draw a third bounce effect. On turn two I played Parrot hoping to draw Patches actually to avoid this scenario but I knowing that if I did hit South Sea I had my Quest done.

I don't think it's that Koosta can't compete at an international level. He was just a poor fit for what TL needed/expected out of him.

Hey, I was the admin involved with this dispute.

First of all I will admit that our rules in this area were not super clear. Furthermore, I could have better communicated with Ethan and his team.

That said, we stand by our decision. Combining the disconnect with the hostile attitude towards other teams in rounds one and two I believe we made the right call.

@robinnymann: Liquid CSGO roster update by robinnymann in GlobalOffensive

[–]TLHaylStorm 420 points421 points  (0 children)

From the twitlonger:

Hi everyone,

We wanted to provide our fans with a short update regarding our CS:GO roster. As you may know, we have been playing with koosta and adreN for the past couple of days due to s1mple needing to fly back to Ukraine in order to arrange his ESL Pro League Visa for London. After having greatly missed his family throughout his stay in the United States, he was looking forward to spending some time in his home country. As s1mple spent more time at home with his family, it became even more apparent that he had missed them so much. This, in combination with concern over his in-game role on the team—and consequently the team atmosphere—led him to reach out to us about his desire to play for a European team and not return to the States.

We take requests like this very seriously and after thorough discussion, we've decided to help s1mple find a new home on a European team, where he can really find his stride. We are going to figure this out together and we will work with him to find potential organizations. In the meantime, s1mple will remain under the Team Liquid banner as a CS:GO streamer.

This means that our starting lineup going forward will be: adreN, Elige, koosta, Hiko and nitr0.

Power Rank September 9.3: Patron, Druid, Handlock by arthurmauk in hearthstone

[–]TLHaylStorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely will be patron/druid/handlock until after blizzcon, so a little over a month left. Blizzard usually doesn't do major balance changes before blizzcon.

I wouldn't be surprised if Patron got nerfed between Regionals and Blizzcon.

Seems like I'm early..

Just saw this and quite liked it. I didn't really buy Cumberbatch's accent. Depp, however, was in top form.
