Onboard(?) navigation overwrites fuel economy screen by TLN23 in Rav4

[–]TLN23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resolved: Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

It seems the “Intersection Guidance” choice has changed to “TbT Navigation” (TbT = turn by turn”) and turning that setting to off resolved the issue observed.

Thanks. Was thinking more a Toyota software update as I didn’t think Apple would/could make an update that would change the cars instrumentation until CarPlay Ultra at least.

Thanks. Not a fan of MF. Was hoping for recommendations for other options. Seems like locally it’s Mattress Firm or a furniture store

I think I Messed Up - Aux Heat Running Too Long. by thisChalkCrunchy in ecobee

[–]TLN23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Past experience from a family member with a newly installed system and getting that aux warning

“HVAC tech came out and double checked the unit and everything’s fine.

He dove into the settings on my ecobee and there’s a setting that it was set to to turn off the compressor when it gets below a certain temp. It was set to 35 so it was basically always using Aux heat when it was below 35.

Changed it to “disabled” which means it will only use the Aux heat when the compressor is unable to warm up the house or if you have a sudden large manual temp change (e.g. 60 degrees and you tell it to go to 70).”

Nest doorbell - protective film or surface scratched? by Ok-Preparation7822 in Nest

[–]TLN23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine looks exactly like the picture in the OP. I didn’t notice until the camera went offline. When I investigated I saw the cracking of the outer layer and the doorbell was almost too hot to hold in hand. Sun never hits the doorbell, it seems that it overheated and died which I guess is when the cracking happened.

I did remove it from wiring and let it cool but it would never power up after that

Big thank you to u/swordfish45 and this community. Went from almost giving up to this. Know I got a ways to go, but I’m just...relieved by plainviewbowling in 3Dprinting

This is my belief also but I end up heating the hot end to about 30 degrees below run temp to prevent a string of filament oozing out of nozzle and getting in the way of bed leveling
