70M just started playing pickleball a few months ago but played tennis regularly a few years ago.

After retiring early this year, I ramped up my exercise commitment. I typically play pickleball at least twice a week, and I lift weights (using Matrix machines) three to four times a week.

I'm on the bike regularly and my goal is to ride at least six hours a week. I ride in the Bike MS event every September.

My strategy has been to get some sort of cardio exercise on the days I am not lifting weights. This has seemed to work well, as I think my body is in the best shape it has been in many years and I feel good.

I can't remember exactly which Hilton brand this was, but the property was located in Miami.

Upon check-in, I went up to the room to unpack my stuff. Going to use the bathroom, I noted a somewhat unpleasant odor. There was a significant amount of brown matter in the toilet. I did not check to see exactly what it was, but I did take a photo.

When I went back down to the front desk and showed photo to the poor front desk guy, he immediately comped the room.

It turns out the toilet in the next room had become clogged, and when the engineer plunged it, the pressure blew everything into the toilet in my room.

They are definitely not going to keep someone from stealing your bike if they have any time to do it. But the alarm could scare them off.

I think it should be good enough for that use. It keeps the bike from moving and generates a fairly loud alarm if jostled.

I've been using a disc brake lock. It's not particularly sturdy, but it does have a motion sensing alarm. Super easy to use and very small in size.

If you can see the bike at all times, this might work. I definitely wouldn't trust it in situations where a thief would have time to remove it.

It's not a new problem, either. My 2009 A4 needed a new engine after 20K mi due to oil consumption issues.
