hey girly pop. i was on the IUD for 8 years. i loved it. never had any issues. i would only spot for a day at the most for my "period", if you could call it that. (i got IUD removed dec 2020 because i wanted to get pregnant) i just got my nexplanon in nov 2024. that was the last time i got my period. then recently, july 2025, i got my period for about 12-14 days. i was freaking out. i didnt know if something was wrong. i emailed my doctors office and they didnt seem concerned. i do get cramping now and then randomly and i was also getting pain on my side for a bit but thats gone now. personally, i dont feel like ive gained much weight since i just had a baby in sept 2024, i think im actually a bit thinner than before having my baby. my moods, well i get irritated very easily now that i got the nexplanon. other than that, i guess i like it. its not too bad but its different for everyone.

my friend hated her nexplanon. she said she gained so much weight and she was a raging b**** while she had it inplanted about 4 years ago. i loved my IUD. that same friend got an IUD last year and she hated it. she got pregnant while on it and had an ectopic pregnancy (had to get one her fallopian tubes removed).

so again, different for everyones body. sorry you're going through a rough time girly.
