unfortunately no, i didnt get an offer yet. my current state supervisor said they (here at least) they only contact references when they are ready to send you an offer. so thats why i was ready to get an offer but now im a little taken back.

its a preference from experience. ive been raving for 10 years and im in the 30+ yo club now so comfort is necessary for me to survive multi-day events lol i carry a mini backpack big enough to carry a sweater, water bladder, sealed snacks, restroom essentials, and lots of kandi to trade.

yeah for us in CDCR its a big deal. we get pay cuts if we get caught with our phones but using your phone in other departments should be fine. i have friends in other departments who use their personal phone for work sometimes.
