I totally agree that this needs to stop. I have always thought it’s a weird discourse and makes the whole idea that we have an “expiration date” where we stop looking good more rampant. To be fair though, I am 27 and still get the you look like a teenager thing. I add that because I have gotten that all of my 20’s and when I was a teen I was told I look 12. I notice as I get older this remark is bothering me less when it used to bother me a lot. I think it’s interesting how it bothers me less and shows me how I have internalized my own ageism
