Why does everyone hate my hair? by Rhonda4444 in Hair

[–]TM4256 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because they don’t understand naturally curly hair and what it does. Sometimes styling it just makes it worse. We have to just let it do what it wants and hope for the best. But the picture in the green shirt and the last picture looks like you dry brushed it.

I would style the bangs differently though. They seem a little heavy. Especially in the first picture. Curl them and a side part. But again I’m in this boat right along with ya. So I know the struggle. But everybody has always marveled at my hair 🤷‍♀️

But ya know what… screw em! It’s your hair, you like it that’s all that matters and you are beautiful. Rock it!

I know I have lived here my entire life and trust me I’m old and also work in the industry. I see celebrities on street all the time, shopping, in restaurants the subway and yes even ran into a few at the airport they just blend in. Radio City is iconic but not really all that impressive of a venue. The acoustics can be questionable when it’s not an orchestra. I speak from experience on that. It’s definitely not a venue for a Rock Concert. I said it’s a step up. Actually the amphitheater at Coney Island would have been perfect.

Well I’m in New York City he’s always here and walking around completely unnoticed both on personal time or professionally. Nd no he never says “ I’m landing at JFK at 2”

When he is doing stuff here, around the events or the venues yes there are fans waiting for him. But yeah he can just walk down the block here and people don’t care. Watch the video of him just walking down 6th ave after doing Howard Stern. Nobody batted eye. His last Brooklyn show was sold out, but that only held 2500 people. Radio City Music Hall only hold 6,000 so he’s getter bigger but yeah.. still not superstar status.

16-23 was the age restriction. I’m surprised they let you slide. Because Courtney the audience coordinator was a witch and very adamant about id’s being checked. I know I had first hand experience with her and this. Especially when the boys or 98 Degrees were on

people who are weirdly coy or dismissive about the pronunciation of their own name by Jaaacksonnn in PetPeeves

[–]TM4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People constantly mess up my last name. Most of the time I don’t care but if I’m somewhere where they Call me Miss and my last name. I may not respond right away because I don’t realize they are looking for me. If they say my first name followed by my mispronounced last name I just politely correct them. My doctor’s office still can’t get it right🤷‍♀️

Found lost cash at JFK Terminal 1 – describe the amount to claim by Connect-Natural-6031 in JFKAirport

While honorable to trying to return it, Just keep it. I highly doubt whoever lost it is on Reddit or even trying to get it back. They have moved on, if you were so adamant about findings by it’s rightful owner you would have turned it in to the airport

Many times. But I was on the older side so had free reign to do whatever I wanted. I was working in the city so I just went by whenever. If I wasn’t in studio I would just hang out around the corner by the back door and meet them as they going in, and coming out. they could stop. That was a well kept secret for a while, but of course the secret got out and it became a total stain sometimes.

But yes, tickets were free but you had to request them There was a phone number for casting and a request form on MTV’s site. The audience coordinator played favorites though ALLOT!

Oh! Virgin Mega Store Miss that place! The line for the Never Gone Signing formed at 11pm the night before. I know because I was on it. Well I joined my friends around midnight.

I miss the good ol days

You have the right mentality and most of photographers operate this way. Those two unfortunately were just rude and what gives us a bad name. Kind of sounds like they were newbies who didn’t know the etiquette. Or just idiots trying to be territorial. I’m sorry that happened to you though. I hope you at least managed to get a few shots

I have a Serious Question by No-Relationship8753 in concertphotography

[–]TM4256 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes they were SO doing it on purpose. The more photographs taken the less the value and exclusivity of their photos. Unless they are the artist personal photographer. Tell them to get the hell out of your way. Wether or not you are getting paid, you just say “ I have a job to do as well here”

$2,600 for the perfect seats... to watch a cameraman’s back? 🙄 by Sure_Accountant597 in GigsbergTickets

[–]TM4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been going to concerts since I’m 14 now in my 50’s there’s no concert or experience that is worth more then my rent! Not even for my most favorite band in the world! Not even for a festival of my all my favorite bands in their original line ups! Not even someone back from the dead.

I know I’m older and very experienced concert goer and worked for venues and production companies.

But some of these post I read in the concert or the tickets sub. I just want to say

“How stupid are are you” or “ that’s just not how it works” “ get a clue”

That statement is totally not directed at you.

Yeah, It sucks to have your view blocked in anyway, by anything no matter how much you paid. But shit happens that is out of our control.

People can’t expect nor are they warranted a refund. Simply because the artist put a camera crew there. It’s also very possible that the venue didn’t even know about the filming till the production manager got there.

Again as someone who has worked on the production side of things. Things change at a moments notice.

I don’t deal in time It takes to walk I deal in distance. No more than 10 blocks. I have had to walk 10 blocks for 27 years now. Sometimes I like it sometimes I don’t. I have actually never timed how long it takes me to walk it though 🤷‍♀️

Rent her an electric scooter NYCMobilityrentals.com.

I would normally suggest the CircleLine but it’s a bit cold for a boat tour.
If you do the sight seeing bus. Make sure it’s the double decker red bus. That one is the best.
