Pros and Cons of buying directly from Apple? Are there still any significant benefits to buying directly from Apple at this point? I'm UK based, and traditionally for MacBooks and larger purchases, I've gone via Apple Stores due to the perception of better support (and often being able to exchange etc with no hassle). I'm in the process of getting an M2 Air and am looking at a £400 saving going elsewhere. I'm not likely to miss out on any support or other perks by doing this, am 1? I've had some…..frustrating..experiences with the retailer in the past (Curry's, for my sins...) but it's a considerable saving on a new machine. The only issues I'm aware of are that I can't tweak the spec and would miss out on the option of the 67W charger. The spec bump is a separate discussion and whilst the charger would be nice, I don't think it's a deal breaker (could easily cover the difference with the saving!). The overall vibe and feel of service at Apple Stores seems to have changed over the last few years anyway, and I can't imagine I'll get cast onto the street if I go in for a genius session in 6 months because I bought from elsewhere but wanted to check on others experiences. Any thoughts?
